For the last 2years now I've have been receiving phone calls and smses from lawyers acting on behalf of Health & Racquet Club. They claim that I owe them money for an account not paid. According to me this is not possible because the account was terminated just before they went bancruptclosed.

The gym contract was opened in 1999 (when I was 17) and closed by my mother and the them manager of the North Ridge Mall in Bloemfontein in 2000. My mom signed a document. Obviously after all these years my mom doesn't have the proof anymore. After all, the case was settled!

I don't know what to do. I am seriously thinking of getting a lawyer to help me. I am really scared that this (according to me) 'fake' lawyers will black list me. I know of at least 2 other persons in Bloemfontein to which this has happend.

Is there a number that I can phone? I am innocent. According to the little research I've done, H&R was liquidated. Can it be that they have the wrong records and that I am innocent?
