I have received MULTIPLE unwanted calls right before 9 PM from Heartland, Inc. This "company" has been rude, hangs up on me when I ask to be taken off of their list, and they have now been hanging up as soon as I answer. I did a reverse phone number look up and at least found that they were in Des Moines, Iowa, but I was not willing to PAY to get the rest of the info. Someone has got to put a stop to this!

I renewed a contract for 3 magazines last Feb. In Sept. of this year, I received a phone call saying that they were getting complaints from customers not getting magazines that were ordered and they wanted to verify my address, etc. I stated that I was getting my magazines and reviewed my address with them. The next month I noted and additional amount on my credit card statement from them. I tried calling them numerous times only to receive an answering machine. Only once did they call back on my answering machine while I was at work. Well, yesterday I finally got a hold of a live person. They listened to my situation and had a supervisor call me back today. This person claims that I verbally renewed the account with them in Sept. I explained to him that I never did...they were the ones to call me to verify problems that THEY were having with other customers. They played back the tape from that conversation and only part of the conversation was taped. The whole conversation was not there and they made it sound like I was extending my contract (of which I would have never done). They scammed me for my money. The best I could do with them was to pay it off completely and never do business with them again. Please be careful with these people!!
