I bought and I quote, "AMISH HAND MADE ELECTRIC FIREPLACE/HEATER", from Home Shopping Network. This junk is stamped made in China when you receive via UPS. First, the appearance of the hand-made, hand-finished, cherry finished mantel was disgusting. Looks like a first grader finger painted it. Oh well, as long as it heats our home office, what the heck on the appearance. Second, plug it in, turn it on, you couldn't hear anything above the noise. Complained to both companies. Heat Surge said you can fix it yourself with our phone assistance. HSN didn't give a darn.
