I purchased a pair of Heelys at a Mervyns that was liquidating due to bankruptcy. Three days later the tongue came completely detached from the shoe making it impossible for my daughter to wear. I tried to exchange at Mervyn's but due to the bankruptcy laws in CA, they were under no obligation to exchange because the liquidator had control of the inventory. I then called Heelys and under their policy, their distributors are offered a "discount" on merchandise and do not offer warranties to their customers. I again, called Mervyns and even they were unable to get Heelys to budge on their policy.
Being in customer service myself, I find this unacceptable. Both companies should have stood behind the product they sold. Now both companies are out of a loyal customer. Such a shame!!!
