I received a letter in the mail in September that my HELOC will increase from $400 per mo. to $1100 per mo in Octomber .I hit the ceiling. I called to ask them what was going on. I was told that the interest portion of the heloc had expired and now it time to pay the principal side. Well of course I had a problem with this immediately. I lost my job and now all of a sudden I am suppose to start paying $700 more per mo on this line. One of the most irritating issues I have with bank of america, like the previous complaint said, they always say no. When I lost my job I immediately called to let them know and to try and make arrangement to get help. I complete their online financial statement to show proof that without my income and the current expenses still in place that we needed help from them. We were told NO NO NO, that they could not help us because our expenses exceeded our income. WELL DUH!!!. I lost my job, you know like income gone. They just dont care. I recently contacted Bank of America to send an original copy of my agreement, so I can locate where it says I was getting this type of HELOC. OH, BY THE WAY THE CLERK EVEN SAID, SHE NEVER HEARD OF THIS TYPE OF HELOC. (SOUNDS LIKE A RED FLAG TO ME!!) If anyone else has had the same issue with Bank of America, pls email me [email protected]
