Feedback on quality of customer service in application process:
1) Admissions staff "lost" materials submitted--it was bad enough to discover that one of my transcripts had two page ones; but at the receiving end materials were also displaced over time.
a) Is it any surprise since the staff have at least two AAs and the catalog features a AA woman flying solo over her desk.
2) Staff is inbred--that much is obvious just from the website--they are full of self promotion from within because this is a name school. So what they have managed to do is float up their own "beautiful" type masters graduates up the ranks.
3) With all these essentially disadvantaged types awarding themselves fancy titles is it any wonder they have created a feudal kingdom? The admissions staff can't write a decent admissions, acceptance, or rejection letter. The faculty who ought to be responsible for review and preparation of such letters can't be bothered.
4) Everything rests on name, name, name.
5) My experience with these MFA/Advanced Writing programs is they are run by hogwart types. If you are sufficiently young clean and fresh out of the chicken coop, you stand a chance. If you have graduated from a university and can actually write and have published, your chances go down because there is professional envy. If you have actually published a book or two and have a graduate degree, your chances are worse yet. Does it make sense? NO!
a) The "in-thing" to protect the "beautiful" types is to plant inferior versions of themselves from a different racial background to project an image of fairness, where because the inferior versions are just that, they immediately start to degrade the system further in order to promote only favored or appropriately colored minorities or minorities who basically write poorly (who know how to pander to mass audiences) into the "elite system."
So yeah, look forward to more and more of the same, oh baby!
PS. Like thunk you big fat lips moo-moo-squirt-squirt oh so good!
