A person who claims himself to be “Engr James Ashley” contacts you via email to thank you for your assistance in transferring his investment funds (you don’t have any idea what he’s talking about, but apparently, you have helped him). As his appreciation, he’d like to send a large sum of money your way. All you need to do is contact his secretary. It’s a scam. Below is a copy of the email.
Dear Friend
I am happy to inform you about my success in getting those funds transferred under the co- operation of a new partner from Japan.
Presently I’m in Japan for investment projects with my own share, meanwhile, I didn’t forget your past efforts and attempts to assist me in transferring those funds despite that it later failed us some how.
Now contact my secretary, Mr Peter Henry through his email address ( [email protected] ) ask him to send you the total $1.500.000.00 which I kept for your compensation for all the past efforts and attempts to assist me in this matter. I appreciated your efforts at that time very much. so feel alright and get in touched with my secretary and tell him where to send the amount to you.
Engr. James Ashley
