Getting Parts
We bought my son a Hensim Tierra 50cc four wheeler last year for Christmas. We have not had any mechanical problems with it, but one of the headlights went out and we cannot seem to get any assistance on getting a replacement. I called the place we bought it from, Spring City Cycles in Spring City, TN and they told me they would be glad to help, put me on hold and then after 45 minutes of waiting, I called back and they were closed. I waited a few days and called back again. This time they told me they would be glad to help. So I told them what I needed and the guy told me he could mail it to me since I live 2 hours away. I proceeded to give him my card info and unfortunately their debit/credit machine was not working, to call back in a week and it would definetly be working. So a week later I called again and he told me they decided not to get the machine fixed because it wasn't really worth it. But he could send me the parts only AFTER I sent him a check and waited on it to clear the bank, then he would mail the parts to me. No thank you, I said. So then I get online and find a place called Family Go Karts. I send an email, they reply and take my info and sent me the part. Only to find that when I get the part, it is the wrong one. So, since August, I have been emailing Molly at Family Go Karts back and forth and still have yet to get the right part. First she says they are on backorder, then she says they are very busy this time of year and they will be getting some in soon. I emailed her once a week until December. She emailed me and told me the parts had been sent UPS and I should be getting them in a couple of days. So I waited a week and looked up the tracking number on UPS and it says they received "billing information" on 12.14. I sent her another email since it had been several days and she said she would talk to her UPS contact. Then she emails me back and says "well, this time of year, they tend to let things set and they get behind." I ordered a non related item from a different company and it was sent to me UPS within a week. As of today, 1/7/08, UPS still shows the same info and Molly has no clue what is going on. Hopefully I will be able to replace this headlight assembly before my son outgrows his four wheeler.
