Rip people off
In Feb. 2006 I joined Herbalife to try and open a small business, They told me they would help me and lead me through every aspect of the program. First the lady that signed me up turned me over to a lady in Washington State. Then I could never get back in touch with her again, The lady in WA said that I needed to order some products to sale and she helped me do that. I ordered over $3000.00 worth of products. She then said that I need to order some contacts from W8loss.com. I ordered 25 contacts at $94.89. The contacts started coming on my email on A Friday. I contacted the lady in WA and she the said I need to do to a Conference in Cancun and the ticket were only $7500.00 for the 3-day trip. I said I could not afford that. She got mad because I would not spend that much money. She said that she was leaving on Sunday and would be back in about 4 days and not do anything until she got back. The contacts were only good for 72 hours after I received them. I tried to contact her on Thursday of the next week and was told that she got sick while in Cancun. I did not here from her for another 3 weeks, buy this time I had lost all of the contacts. I was then turned over to another lady in WA by the name of Fran, she wanted me to order more contacts, and I ordered 25 more at $94.89. She wanted me to go on conference calls and listen to others make calls, I did and set for hours listening to people dial phone numbers with no success. I did this for whores then started trying to make calls on my own. Every one said they were not interested and some that they had tried the product and it made the sick. Every time I got one of those excuses I would send that contact back and reqest a replacement. I returned 80 bad contacts and still had 23 of my original 25 left. What took the cake was when I tried to return one because she said she had tried the product and it made her sick. ( I tried to return that lead and was told that that was not a good enough reason to exchange ) I realized that this was no good for me and I wanted out. I tried to call Fran and find out what to do. Fran ask me who I was. I had been talking to her on the phone and through IM for several weeks then she did not know me. I finally got hold of some one at Herbalife int. and ask that lady she told me to contact Herbalife buyback dept., and the would tell me what to do. They said to pack every thing up and send it back to them, I did and the said it would take about 4 to 5 week for me to hear anything. I waited 2 months and started making phone calls. After 4 call back to buyback I finally got a lady named Rowena on the phone. She said she would check and get back to me. 30 minutes later she called me back and said my return order was in the warehouse and they could not buy it back because the bottles had turned yellow had a smell to them. They were not in that shape when the left me. The said the were sending the product back to me. I dont know if the will be the same products I sent them as Herbalife has lied to me from the beginning. Now I have to eat that $3000.00. If Herbalife sent me a new car to drive for a year free and it had there name on it I would not even get in it and crank it or let it set near my house. I just want to let people know how they rip people off.

Unauthorized billing
I saw an ad on Tv late one night claiming to make alot of money part time, I called in for the information and was told I would have to pay 9.95 for the dvd. I received the dvd and a phone call from Chris Wilkins saying he was going to be my mentor and ask me some questions as to how serious about making extra income. He also stated that If I didn't want to continue that I would get all my money back except the 9.95, which I agreed.
I met with him and some guy named David, way out in Ma. I was also given Davids phone number if I ever had any questions or concerns. I tried calling David at the number that was given to me and low and behold, it was NOT a good number. So I proceeded to call Chris back and ask some questions about what the name of this company was and he explained that I needed to wait and speak with himself and David the next day and they would explain the program and the name of the company.
It should have thrown up a red flag when he would answer my question. I received a conference call from Chris and David and they told me that my packet to get started in making money would ONLY be 199.95. They already had my credit card info and was very excited about using it for this packet of products and enrolling literature. I called Chris back and told him that I was not interested, I had not opened the carton and wanted a refund, told him that I was not going to buy a lot of stock, sell it myself and not make much from it.
I told him when the shipment arrives I would just refuse it. He told me if I did that, that it would take almost 3 times as long to receive my refund. So I didn't refuse it, but did not open it either. Chris told me to ship it directly back to him and he would refund my 199.95 and thats what I did, at my expense of 14.42 to ship it from Oklahoma to Fl. I did get a partial refund of only 159.05, I wrote Chris back and ask him why the difference, and to no avail I haven't heard from him. If someone promises you the world and it sounds too good to be true, people ...RUN as fast as you can from these scammers.

Terrible experience
First off, I would like to say my heart goes out to all those who have invested huge sums of money in Herbalife to come up empty. In December 2006, I saw a commercial on T.V. I had seen this commercial several times before but finally decided to go to the website and sign up for the DVD which was $9.95. I got a call from my soon to be 'mentor' a day before the DVD arrived. I wondered how she got my information and asked her if she was affiliated with the television commercial. She acted as if she didn't know what I was talking about. She asked me a bunch of questions to see if we were a 'match.' She asked me how much money I would like to make every month and how much my current job paid. After all that, she gave me this wonderful testimony of how she's well on her way to making the money she's always desired. I promised to watch the DVD and hung up kind of excited.
When I got the DVD, I watched enthusiastically. It was like watching a fairy tale with a happy ending. Doran Andry and his wife Emiko had the huge house and fancy cars we've all dreamed of having. He talked a good game about how he made $200k, and on up to 1.1 million in one year. After I watched the DVD I had to set up an appointment with my 'mentor' and some guy named Ed Borrowe. This took place on New Year's Eve and they told me since I was so serious and willing to work on holidays, I would definitely be successful.
To make the long story short, I signed up for the business pack and more 'sample packs.' That mentor was really pushing me to become a supervisor and purchase the 4000 volume points of inventory. I flat out refused because after all, they stated that I did not have to stock inventory. I was told to set up business accounts, get business phone lines, get an account that can charge people's credit cards, get business cards, leads, sample packs, a phone line where I couldn't speak to anyone directly but just accept messages, get useless websites that no one would ever visit and the list goes on. That's over $1000 right there. I was getting married in a few months. I was 24 years old and wanted to make money to cover some wedding expenses.
Dialing those leads was degrading and pointless. I can't count how many times I've been hung up on and told that I have the wrong number. One time I called a woman and tried to send her a sample pack. When I told her it was Herbalife (the mentors and upline don't want you to mention Herbalife but this lady asked...) she said Herbalife products are responsible for her high blood pressure. After listening to my mentor and her upline (which is supposed to be connected directly to Doran Andry himself) they all sounded brainwashed. It became disgusting to listen to them. I finally freed myself from this mess after 5 months of spending money that I did not have and not even breaking even. I googled Herbalife and found out what a ripoff this is. I should have done this before I spent my hard earned money. My advice to anyone would be to run as fast as you can. I could go into passing out 2000 fliers a day to get 15 interested prospects but I'll spare you that. The more I got involved with Herbalife the more I found the business model made no sense and was impossible to 'follow the program.' What doggone proven program?

I sent $9.95 for information that was supposed to be here in 2 days. I knew that was impossible to come from the U.S. in that time but got about 10 days later. The package has a DVD & a 'workbook'. You are instructed to call your mentor for more instructions after you watch part of the Dvd. You can only watch part of it cause you have to get a 'code' from your mentor to go farther. After that point you have 14 days to decide if you want to continue with the business. If you don't let them know when the 14 days is up they bill you $40 for the dvd.
I have repeatedly contacted this person but she won't return my calls or emails. Of course she billed my credit card for the $40. I don't have an address to send the DVD back to& she won't give me one. I guess thats how they make money ripping people off with overpriced material.

Rip off
I made the mistake of giving my credit card number to these people and now they have charged me over $500 of my hard earned money and I have yet to receive a refund. I have returned all of their stuff to them and have filled out their refund slips but haven't received any kind of refund as of yet. It has been over 2 months since I realized that this was a scam and requested a refund. Do not give out any financial information to these people, they are crooks and they will rip you off big time if you let them. I filed a dispute with my credit card company but after a month went by they put the charge back onto my credit card, and then Herbalife had the nerve to charge my account again without my permission. My credit card company called me to let me know this so I immediately canceled my credit card so that it couldn't happen again. The nerve of those people to charge my credit card when I never gave them permission to do so just really irritates me to no end. What tipped me off was when I started reading the reports from other people that had written about them on this site and realized that I had ripped off. When I read that people were having health issues because of the Herbalife supplements that some people's livers were failing them, I became really scared and decided not to even try any of the products at all. That's when I contacted my so called sponsor and he started his bullsh*t response that I need to not listen to what other people were saying about Herbalife. But then I got to thinking all of these people can't be wrong? When I challenged my sponsor about he called his sponsor immediately and they both got on the phone and did a 3 way call to try and talk me out of it not getting involved with them. But I didn't listen and I'm glad that I didn't because they were really trying to brainwash me and I would have no part of it.
