I own a small retail florist. For the first 3 years of owning my shop I was a FTD. Before the 2010 Christmas season I terminated my membership with them due to over priced member fees and incompitant personal. If anyone is looking for a florist to use search under flowershopnetwork. There are no exgarerated fees for the florist and so you will get what you are promised. FTD will automatically take 29% of your order and keep it for there "fees". So when you send an order using an FTD website they will make sure that they get more than there far share. So the complaints about "overpricing" are LEGITIMATE. And I would HIGHLY recommend to ANYONE sending flowers to search out the florist in the towns you are sending on line and call them directly. You and the store personal have a MUCH greater chance of getting the order perfect if you cut out the over-payed middle man!
