My phone was fraudulently used
I rent from Hertz every week, gold customer you would expect they would care! Returning the car at Hertz, Philadelphia airport. I left my blackberry in the car, discovered this within 30 minutes and called right away to ask them to pick it up and return it. To cut a long story short, in 48 hours I left about 15 messages on their customer service desk, asking for someone to look for the device and call me back.

I then discovered that my phone was fraudulently used which means one of two things: it was stolen by their employee, or they cleaned the car so badly that they rented it to someone else who took it. Customer service won’t call me back, the branch manager won’t call back, Hertz customer service tells me they can’t do anything, “call the branch manager”. Needless to say I am now going to rent from someone who “tries harder”.

Employee Goes Bizerk
I am a Gold Corporate customer of Hertz for 20 years.
A Hertz employee Goes Bizerck while I am in a Hertz station returning car with another agent. Employee calls me all sorts of profanities while other employees watch.

I report incident to Hertz and am told a supervisor will call me back.
A week later and 8 calls to Hertz, NO ONE has called me back, NO ONE interested.

Employee who went insane, is still on the job.

The cause of 9 overdraft fees
My wife rented a car at the Akron-Canton Aiport on August 30. She told the rep she would be paying cash when she returned the vehicle. The rep then said she needed a credit card on file, my wife then asked if there would be any monies taken out, the rep said no. Well, to our surprise, she put the full amount of the rental on the card anyway and it caused 9 overdraft fees on my bank account. My wife was mislead, plain and simple. She would have used a different card if she knew that they were going to put a hold on the card. Now, Hertz says they are not responsible for the overdraft fees and that it is standard practice to put a hold on the card. This was obviously not stated to my wife, if it was, I would'nt be all over the internet on business complaint web sites. Bottom line is, they caused overdraft fees with a deceptive business practice and we want our money back. I have already sent a copy of my bank statement, I will send it to them again if they like. We will not stop until
the right thing is done, our $315 returned to us.

Terrible company
