In a Nutshell : I have a DV6116EU Laptop and went online about a week ago. The HP Service update asked to update the Bios Setting. I did this and 24 Hours later the motherboard started to burn up. It shorted my battery and now it wont even bookup.
I called HP Technical Support that was a call center in South Africa. I have been given a call reference and log time for the machine to be collected.
This is now the 4th Working Day and I have been consistently lied to about what HP will be doing about it. They keep failing to collect my laptop or return my calls. If anyone knows how to take this further is there a Governing Board on this company?
I would strongly advise people in the UK NOT to buy HP Products as their Technical Support is well, Terrible
