BAD Computer
If you are considering the snazzy HP Touchsmart all in one computer, DON'T DO IT!!! I purchased mine in January 2010 and within three months it was crashing to blue screen repeatedly. After 12 Phonecalls to tech support in INDIA, after being left on hold for hours at a time (I am not exagerating...) and after sending my computer back for bench repair, the problem has not been solved and my warranty expires TODAY. The techs I spoke to were not knowledgable, had difficulty commincating with me, and refused to even read my entire help ticket because they were simply too busy. Every single time I called tech support they made me start at the begining of diagnostics to the extent that I re-seated my memory chips myself three times. HP tech support basically uses stall tactics until your original warranty expires and then tries to sell you an extended warranty by threatening you that they will no longer accept your calls. HP released this product prematurely to keep up with the Jones, and packaged the system with Windows 7. The OS is incompatible with the touch screen environment. Further, it seems that countless other consumers are having the same problem. HP cannot solve the problem and should be issuing refunds on these poorly engineered units that come close to costing $1, 000 bucks. One blogger even had his Touchsmart replaced under warranty and had the SAME Problem with his brand new replacement computer. I say American shoulod BOYCOTT HP until they bring Tech support back into the United States. And SHAME on HP for knowingly selling a defective product to the Americans who pay their salaries.

Printer
I purchased the HP Photosmart C5280 Printer less than two years ago.
It has now completely packed up despite careful handling of the product.
Unfortunately just before it packed up I had bought two expensive cartridges so am now more or less forced into buying
another of your printers!!
Very unhappy about the whole situation!

I'm sick and tired of this bad service provided by HP
We were told to buy a HP laser Jet M3027 x MFP printer with Next business-day on-site support contract in 2009. During November 2009 we experienced problems were black stripes printed on the papers. We reported the incident and asked HP to send a technician to sort the problem out. They told us we first had to try and solve the problem telephonically. Obviously after hours of our time we sort of got the problem fixed. This is NOT what the service contract said we should do. My employees are spending hours of their time which can't be invoiced against HP.
Today 1622010 we experienced the same problem and lo and behold the technician wants to solve the problem telephonically. I'm sick and tired of this bad service and want HP to honour THEIR service contract which cost me thousands of rand.

Pavilion dv4 Laptop
In Oct. 2008, I purchased a new HP Pavilion dv4 Laptop. 23 days later, it began to malfunction. LESS THAN 1 MONTH OLD! Over the next 9 months it was sent for repair 4 different times. Each time I got it back, it worked correctly for a short period of time, then would begin malfunctioning again. So after the 4th "repair" & still malfunctioning, I emailed the President/CEO of HP. This was in the 10th month. A few weeks later a HP rep called me to get more info. After explaining all the problems & informing rep of the 4 failed attempts by HP to repair it, the rep ask what I wanted them to do. My reply was that I want HP to replace my dv4, barely over a year old, with a new dv4 or laptop of equal value since mine was obviously a LEMON which could not be repaired. The reps response was: "We're not going to just give you a new Laptop for free!" I argued that a free replacement would be only fair, since their product was obviously defective to begin with. The rep replied that HP would repair it for a fee since it was 40 days out of warranty. I responded that HP had made 4 attempts while it WAS STILL under warranty & failed all 4 times. Anyway, to date HP has remained totally unwilling to replace my Laptop, which quit working completely on 12/12/10.
Bottom line; HP products SUCK & so does the company! SCREW HP & ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS!! (BTY: I'm using my new Netbook of a different & far superior brand).

Laptop breakdown
H-P Pavilion Notebook bought in August 2007, from an outlet centre as a reconditioned, ready to use, fully operational computer suitable for home use, soon started to cause problems. The graphiic chip needed replacing in July 2008; the sound card became defective in February 2009 and finally, on the 7th of this month(December) the poor thing gave up completely: it could not make up its mind wether to turn itself on or off, and the screen was just black and blank. The purchase price was 649 Euro, the cost of repair according to H-P would be, 549 Euro. No thank you, H-P. Perhaps it is naive of me to expect my H-P Pavilion Notebook to last more than 3 years, perhaps its foolish of me to expect H-P to help me. Whatever---no more H-P for me.

poor quality products
I bought a Hewlett Packard scanner to load onto my Hewlett Packard Pavilion computer. You would think they would work together...WRONG! They flood the market with their poor quality products at the same prices as their competitors, yet they cannot provide working products. Then when I ask for help loading the scanner onto the computer they want money from me. WHAT KIND OF THE COMPANY IS THIS THAT THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS? I will never, never even look at a product from this company again.

Repair and warranty
I have purchased HP products for years. In fact, I have a hp printer at home and one at the office. I had traded up for a L7780 Multifunction printer when my other hp printer was having problems. Then in July 2010, I was having a problem with the L7780 and was talked into trading up for a Officejet Pro 8500 All in One Wireless for $299. When I received it, it was no trade up at all. In fact, you could buy the same printer for the same price at local shops. I did get an additional 2 year extewarranty because I did not want or need more printer problems. What happened? Now, in October, I have had to contact hp support on three different occasions because the printer wireless cannot find any routers, especially mine. So, I have spent hours working on the printer. This time it never finds the router after 4 hours on the phone. So, they decide to send me a refurbished printer with a 90 day warranty.

Got a lemon
I received my Hewlett Packard notebook back after the second go around with service. I turned it on when I got it home and it still isn't fixed. It was late so I didn't call. Seems Fed Ex delivers when I'm at work. I can't fault them --they are just doing their job. But it means we then have to go and pick it up after a certain time. Which we did.
I called early enough and got a nice gal named Pam. She was very helpful and had me do this and that and it still didn't work. She wanted me to take the back off and I balked. I figure if the service center didn't fix it, my tinkering with the insides isn't going to either. I was polite when I told her this and she said then it would have to be sent back in. I expressed my frustration and she came back and said according to protocol it has to be sent in three times and then if it still comes back not working, then there's the possibility of getting it replaced, but it isn't a sure thing. I told her I had to problems with her, but I would like to talk to her supervisor.
Well, I did talk to the supervisor. He said is name was Lander. He read me the protocol. I am a teacher and people read differently than they talk. Maybe he figured he'd dazzle me with baloney or something. I waited until he was finished and said I didn't agree with his protocol and that I am one very frustrated customer. He was a bit flippant by this point. I asked what HP was going to do to make me happy and he said I would have to send it in.
Then he informed me that I shouldn't be upset because it took less than a week to get the computer returned to me. Are these folks nuts or what? Yes, it was less than a week, but it wasn't fixed. I pointed that out to him and he said, but why are you upset when it took less than a week.
I asked if he had a supervisor and he said yes. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me they don't take phone calls. Isn't that rich?
I told him I would be putting all this on Facebook and my blog and I asked him nicely to document it. He said OK and then thanked me for calling HP and hung up.
Gosh, just makes me want to run out and buy another HP...NOT!
