In 2007 I purchased a D7460 HP printer. Before the warranty expired it stopped working. At the urging of HP technicians I purchased an extended warranty. They then sent a reconditioned HP D7460 printer. Two weeks ago, May 3, the ink pump stopped functioning. They have stopped manufacturing the D7460 and said they would send a reconditioned "upgrade" which turned out to be an HP8000. This was not an upgrade since it only printed 8 1/2 paper, had no ports for my digital memory cards and did not have a separate place for 4 x 6 pictures. I called HP and they said they would search for a replacement which would be comparable to the D7460. I sent my disabled printer back to them and asked for a FED X mailer to send the 8000 back. Last MOnday 5/10 they called and said that a suitable replacement was being shipped. but nmothing has come of it. For two weeks we have haggled over replacing my (under warranty" printer. Each time I talk to their people we have to go over the whole routine of S/N what was wrong with the D7460 and why I didn't want the remanufactured replacement. To this day, 5/17/2010 I have not received a label to mail the HP 8000 back and have not received a printer with the same capabilities as the D7460. As a small, two person, business we cannot continue to waste time haggling with HP technicians. One more try and if I get no satisfaction i'll pay the freight to send the HP 8000 back and was my hands of HP.
