Call was disconnected every time i had called to complain
I have a 2Mb/s connection from HFCL Connect and the monthly charges were 1300 plus taxes. I have been trying to call the Connect call centre to complain about the speed of the connection as it has not been over 512 Kb/s. The people answering the calls kept telling me that my connection is upto 2Mb/s and that 40 kb/s as download is the maximum that I will be getting. When I told them that is the usual speed for a 512 Kb/s connection the call was disconnected every time i had called. The due date for the monthly bill was 3rd March 2008. I had made a payment of Rs. 1457 via credit card on the 3rd of March on hfclconnect.com using my online account with them.I tried to save and email the receipt number that was given after the transaction which had been done successfully but the site ended up with some error and the information was nowhere to be retreived. The email with the reciept also came in empty. As the transaction was successful i was confident that there would be no issues. After a few days when I tried using the internet connection it did not work. When I called up HFCL Connect I was told that the outgoing facility has been barred due to non payment. The agent just hung up after that. I called back again and then told the agent that the payment had been done and that the transaction is showing up on my credit card statement. The agent said that there is no record or proof of the payment and he needs the reference number for the transaction. I told the agent what had happened but to vain. He bluntly refused to transfer the call to any higher authority. I told the agent to cancel the broadband service to which he also refused saying that it is not possible.
