Terrible experience
3 pc furniture purchased on 2/11/09 was told it would be here in about 4 weeks .When we stopped by to get ideas on end tables to match we were told 3 more weeks when we called 3 weeks later we were informed we should never have been told any of that as it would take 8-12 weeks from order date. President Doug offered us to pick something else out if we didnt want to wait, but since there wasnt anything else we liked we decided to wait and had him remove the cost of the gaurdsman. They also removed the delivery charge though it should never have been on there because there website said free delivery on 500 dollars or more. We spent over 6k We finally received the furniture on 4/28/09. The stitching on the furniture is un-even causing the material to wrinkle below it. The cushions specifically the top back with less than 30 days of use are flattening and sagging. After sending pictures, on 6/09/09High Country picked up the furniture for repair and dropped off a loaner sofa . On 6/10/09 They called and emailed to tell me there is nothing wrong with the furniture. They claim there was a tag on the furniture during delivery that stated the furniture would do this, (Key words during delivery not sale). On 6/11/09 I was informed the upholster and manufacture agree it is suppose to sag and flatten with use and the uneven stitching is normal. As of 12:26 on 6/11/09 They want to bring the furniture back and pick up there loaner. The thing is I would expect to see the cushions begin to flatten and even sag over the next 5-6 years but not 30 days with little use. The furniture on the floor did not have these characteristics nor were we told it would . I told them I would not accept the furniture back as it is, With out warning As I am Writing this at 2:09 on 6/11/09 they sent a crew to pick up the loaner with no resolution. I am now left with NO living room furniture. They had no paperwork except our name and directions I wrote a brief statement and had one of the gentleman sign it prior to taking it from the house.
I would like all the flaws repaired, stuffed sewn ect what ever it is they have to do or a full refund. As I stated earlier there was nothing else on the floor we wanted. And now to have left us with nothing I find to be both poor judgment as a person and the poorest of business practices.
