I know, that all schools in the United States, from grades one to the twelfth grade, have a dress code that they go by for all students, boy's and girls. I know, that ever year, before school starts, hand books are past out, about the dress code. Everybody is suppose to follow it. But I see the same thing go on every year. No one does. Why pass out information, if the school staff is not going to enforce the rules? It makes no sense! And no one can say, it's the style, I know better.
I have raised five kids and put all of them through school, and at no time did they go to school dressed the way I see these kids dress going to school. They always dressed to the rules. I think, if you are going to have a dress code, then the school staff and the parents need to make sure the kids follow them. If a boy or girl comes to school not dressed right, then they should be sent home to redress and come back. And if they refuse, they should be sent home for the rest of the day and counted absent. It's high time the schools, the parents and the school staffs crack down on the dress code, if they are going to continue to have one.
