slow speeds
slow speeds paying almost 100 dollers a month

Failed service
In essence, I noticed consistently slow speeds on the high-speed internet service I purchase from CenturyLink 12/21. The problem only occurs around 19 or 20:00 hrs pst. Tech support taught me how to check the speed and trace the route my service takes. I began collecting data and documented a pattern of what they call "bottle-necking" that occurred at a server out of my local region. After several contacts with well meaning service techs (who were very patient) it became apparent that the problem does indeed exist elsewhere and not locally. Still, I had to have a tech come to my house to verify this. He was there around 7 but the problem had not begun. He took my data and said that something would be done "soon" to correct what is probably an infrastructure problem. He said he would pass the concern to his boss and "up the ladder". He was very professional. Still I have to wonder: Now what? Is CenturyLink really going to take care of its customers? Is it time to bail?

Poor product and poor customer service
I have been with Primus Canada for almost two years for both home phone line and high speed internet service. It was the worst experiece I had ever with a service provider. I was paying for a land line that turned out to be a VOIP quality service that Primus Canada kept confirming it was a land line. The high speed internet was not reliable and was donw in many cases and slow when it was up. The customer service did not seem to understand plain English. I signed a one year contract for the high speed internet for a fixed price. Few months later, Primus increased the price and when I wanted to cancel the contract they said I have to pay a cancellation fee. Billing was a nightmare as they kept adding charges that we never agreed to. An agreement with a manager in customer service meant nothing and I had to call many times to discuss why the bill did not reflect an agreement that I had with one of their managers. I had to wait for almost an hour in few occasions on the phone to get a customer service rep.
In shore, I don't recommend Primus for anything for the sake of mind sanity. I could probably trust them for garbage collection but not anything more.

rebate denied
I got high speed internet and cable modem from broadband offers. I read all the instructions carefully and mailed the rebate forms using certified mail. In around 2 weeks time, $40 modem rebate status showed up online.But the $39.95 broadbandoffers rebate did not show up. I immediately sent a mail asking for the tracking number of the missing rebate. I was mailed the tracking number that was not showing up online. I was also told that it would show up in few weeks.I waited for some time and again mailed that the second rebate did not show up online. I again got a reply that it would take some time. I waited for some more time and again mailed.Now, they say that the second rebate did not reach them and that I willl receive only the first rebate of $40.They also said that I cannot re-submit.I have their responses in my mail box.I also have photo copies of all that I have sent them plus the delivery receipt. After reading the reviews about lost checks, I doubt if they would really send me the rebate. They seem to be very cunning. They cheat the major percentage of people and give rebates to very few people just to defend that they are not a fraud.I sent a reply asking why they have given me the tracking number if the rebate is lost.Actually, 2 different people gave the same tracking number to me. If they do not respond positively, I will lodge a complaint in BBB.I will update whether the checks are received or not.

Service is very slow
I am paying for the highest available internet speed, yet my service is so slow that many sites log out before I can load them. I've spent lots of time on hold without any help from the provider.
