Abusive dry cleaners
I had been using Hill Country Dry Clean for 3 years and had been very happy with their work.

A week before Christmas, 12/16/09, I dropped-off some of my Husbands shirts to be laundered and pressed and was given a Ticket to verify that I had "PrePaid" my order, this ticket also had the total number of shirts left to be done with a discription of each on one ticket.

I took more shirts in 1/12/10 to be cleaned and I was given shirts in 3 bags with NO TICKETS on them. I went back 1/13/10 to pick-up the shirts left 1/12/10 and these had a ticket matching my copy of the ticket left 1/12/10.

When I got home and checked the bags of shirts with NO TICKET to MY copy of shirts left at the cleaners 12/16/09 it was unclear to me if I had gotten all the shirts since these 3 bags had no tickets on them to verify. So the next day as I was out shopping I stopped by the cleaners to make sure I had picked-up all the shirts.

When I tried to explain why I was checking to make sure I had gotten all of my Husbands shirts things went horribly wrong.

The woman who I was speaking with got very upset and started to raise her voice to me. I tried to explain my concerns, that I had gotten shirts with no tickets and showed her my copies of the laundry ticket dated 12/16/09 which she then took inside the store with her.

The next thing I knew I had an older

woman at my auto window screaming at me and telling me to "Get off the property!" I tried to explain my questions to her but all she could do was scream right in my face at my open car window! I asked to speak with the Manager and was told by this screaming thing that she was the manager and to get off the property! I told her I wanted my tickets back since I needed them for Income Tax and she replyed that she didn't have them...as she was standing there with all the tickets in her hand! The next thing I know this "manager" is screaming for someone to call the POLICE! I tried to talk to her but it was no use, and she was not giving me back my tickets either. I got out of my car and grabbed the tickets at which point this "manager" attacked me and hit me in the back and shoved me against my car as I was trying to get back in my car. I waited until the Police arrived. Two Cars worth. I explained what had happene. I was VERY UPSET over what had happened and was in the middle of an ASAMA ATTACK! I had called my Husband when things got crazy at the drive-thru and he was still on the phone and asked the Officer to please give the Owner of the cleaners his (my Husbands)Cell Phone Number so he could talk to the owner, which the Officer did. After listening to my account of what had happened this Officer told me that this "manager" was not too bright and didn't seem to understand much of anything that both he and the other office were asking her and not to be too upset, that the owner would strighten it out.

The owner never called.

Yesterday I took laundry to another location of the same cleaners since I was happy with the work they did and there was an account already set-up for the pre-pay they require, and I left 10 shirts to have laundered. I got a call this morning at 7:40AM to come and pick-up my laundry and that they were using their right to refuse service to me. I questioned who made this decision and received another screaming garbbled answer that it was not that persons business! ???? And yes she was the manager there! So I went back to the cleaners and picked-up my PRE-PAID laundry. Hopefully we will be refunded the charges for work NOT DONE. On the ticket was scribbled "NOT ALLOWED ON PRIMISES!"

I have been insulted beyond belief, had the Police called on me, and without any kind of notice or warning been barred from "the primises" of a business, all for asking questions about my personal property left in the care of these cleaners!

I would like to speak with the owners just for my own peace of mind, since I have a hardtime believing that a Business Owner would authorize this type of treatment for a longtime customer.
