The Real Estate agent (Mr. Hillaire) broke into a home on two ocassions to show us the property. He had no keys!! Wghile we were viewing the property he and two others from his office starting rummaging through the house looking in drawers and desks and taking items such as dvd's, cd's and a televison set.
Mr. Hillaire strung us along for 3 months telling us our offer on a property was received, approved and that the contract was in the porocess of being sent. Finally he said he received the contract but yet he refused to respond to my attorney's calls or forward the contract to the attorney. He also refused to provide me with any copy of proof that the bank accepted out offer after many attempts to get it.
I finally did some research and contacted the owner only to find out that while the broker said he had a contract for us to sign the house had actually been foreclosed by the bank the very same week.
During the 3 months we lost, we went through hell trying to contact him and listening to blatant lie after blatent lie. We are also 2 weeks away from the $8, 000 tax credit expiration with no house and a lot of lost time.
In addition to all that, when we demanded our paperwork back he left out the most important thing, which could prove we were attempting to buy the house (our offer letter) He did inadvertatly give us 4 sets of other peoples taxes with every piece of personal information possible.
I did report him to the NYS Department of Liscensing division.
Stay away he's very unprofessional, shady, unprofessional and a schemer! I don;t think he has ever sold a hpuse before and when I'm through reporting him, he will probably never sell another house again.
