I wish to make a complaint about FALSE ADVERTISEMENT against the Hilton chain. The Hilton representative has 100% refused to give us our money back after a most dissatisfactory stay at a Hampton Inn & Suites Modesto-Salida. We are filing a civil lawsuit, along with posting reviews on every hotel review site that can be found, as well as making a formal complaint to the BBB itself! This is unacceptable!
Double-billed us even though we stated several times we were paying in cash (took a week to get the charge off our credit card), compaint about bathroom fan not working was ignored, $HITTY customer service, hotel manager was either not given our numerous messages (or ignored them unitl corporate called), bed had no pillowtop (so we slept on top of the comforter), food at breakfast was moldy & out-dated, and we've been ignored/dismissed/transfer..red/hung up on by several Hampton/Hilton reps via email & phone conversations (which I saved and logged). Clerk spoke to us in Spanish after we made a compaint about the financial error, and she refused to tell us what she said. We were locked out of our room (even after being double-charged) and our things were gone through.
So now we have to spend time comparing hotel rates/amenities when making our travel plans, when the only hotel we had ever stayed at was the Hampton. This situation turns my stomach, and is (not?) expected from such a snob / high-reputation-of-itself corporation. UGH!!! 100% Satisfaction NOT Guaranteed!
