Internet Fraud
Should have googled this company, but got caught up in the "website for $199" scam. Easy to deal with until they get your credit card number, then if you're lucky enough to get someone on the phone, you hear gongs and cheering going on in the background as they land another sucker. My bank, Wells Fargo, said 'too bad', I voluntarily gave them my card number so they would not even stop FUTURE withdrawals by HIT from my account. So I have to cancel my bank account and HIT therefore will not have an account to return my money to even if they wanted to. How can a company that steals $30.000 a day from consumers be allowed to stay in business? So far, they only have $166.66 of mine, but I would be glad to be part of a class action suit. Where is law enforcement in all this???? My email: [email protected]

Scammed
I fell for it. I should have researched better. $1500.00. They tell you you are going to get a great site. The first salesman is great. Then once the get your credit card info its like a free for all. I could not ever get through to anyone. They would charge my card without telling me. Then they blamed it on me because I asked for some extra time (3 days) to get them the layout they wanted. Now they are telling my I need to pay for another 500 dollars to even have a chance at my site. I do not even know what to do, How do I explain to my husband I just got scammed for 1500 dollars and have nothing to show. If anyone knows how I can break the contract and get my money back please let me know. Sadly I do not know if I even have any options. You can contact me at [email protected]

Fraud, SCAM
After selling me a $400 website, then a $150 logo design, then another $250 for a flash presentation and another $300 for a shopping cart, after 2 months of playing games and deliver a page that a 4 year old can do in 5 minutes I called my credit card company for dispute. I should have looked for these complains before I sign up with these guys, total BIG LieR and HUGE SCAM, BEWARE !!

They are scammers!
I was convinced by their salespeople that they would have a site for me in 2-3 weeks and I got scammed. 2-3 weeks later they took my money and they had no site available for me. They said they were backed up and gave me the run around for about 4 more weeks then I finally cancelled and asked for a refund. They said please allow 2-3 business days for us to finalize the refund and then put it into process to be refunded back to you. It's been weeks and no refund! Do not do business with these people, they are not legit and they will tell you anything to get your cc information!

Poor quality & commincation
The sales department says that "most websites are up and running within 2-3 weeks". After 7 weeks of calling, emailing & begging I finally got to see the first rough draft of the website design. It looked NOTHING like I discussed with them. It was a cookie cutter template and they threw my logo on it. It looked like a 10th grader's first attempt at web design. I was told that my designer Nick was a supervisor so he was 'one of the best'. (That says a lot!) The writer they assigned me sent me copy with incomplete sentances! Run, don't walk away from HIT Web Design.

Lack of any service at all
Wow - where do I start. I think rather than go on and on I will simply say that this is without a doubt, the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Absolute morons and they sure do not beleive in customer service. RUN from these guys.

Non performance
I signed up with HIT on Aug 4, 2010, after a referral from VendorSeek. HIT was advised by me that my business was opening on 10/1/10 and that a website presence was a must before that date. Well, I got nothing.
On 9/9, I was told that a temporary "under construction" site was available on my domain. This was a one page piece of crap that had my logo and some graphics that I supplied. The irony in this all was that I provided a six page prototype design which contained all the customer information needed to be presented on the site. My web design was written in HTML/CSS and I told HIT to use that as the preliminary website while they created the "professional" one. But no, they couldn't even do that.
I went weeks trying to get project status updates, but to no avail. Finally, after threatening legal action (in emails and VM), my sales rep, Rick Visser called. It seems he was out of the office for a week and my project manager, Jon Faulring, "was no longer with HIT." My project fell through the cracks.
On 9/9/10, I got a call from a Vijaya C. informing me that she was going to be doing the credit card processing development on my site and asked me if Paypal would be ok to use as the vendor. This was the total discussion I had with HIT as far as my website was concerned.
I provided them with, in addition to a working prototype design, but requirements and a DB schema. AND they did nothing.
I fired them on 9/13, removed their servers from my domain, and informed them that legal action would be initiated if I hear nothing constructive by COB 9/14. Of course, nothing has been heard yet.
My invitation to all my fellow suckers is to join me in a class action suit aimed at closing down those crooks and getting our money back.

Overhcharging, Unfulfilled Promises
HIT web design, formerly Heritage Web Solutions, looked like a competent, economical company to build my website, but it took a very long time, was very glitchy for months, and their corporate structure and phone tree made it difficult to make changes, get my site completed, etc. because I could never talk to just one individual, but had to address each issue to the right department. Their reasonable price soon ballooned to something unreasonable as features that should have been a part of my website from the beginning were parceled out one at at at time at an exorbitant rate. Their ad says you will get something more than the "basic template" but that's all I got. It was an unimaginative web site that used a font that was too small and pictures that were too small to get across the impact of my product. I was already deep into payments with them and it was too late to turn back, but I finally had enough when they informed me that I needed to renew my hosting fees for over 300.00 for a year and that's a ridiculous price, five times what I am paying now. When I complained, their rep said the price included one on one attention and problem shooting, but I have not had problems with my other host for the last eight years. I knew then that I was being ripped off by a dishonest company. When I sent HIT's work to the next company I used to build my site, the new company informed me that HIT had NOT included any .html text in my website, as they had promised, in order to show up in a Google search. When I ended my relationship with HIT, they would not let me have my domain name, but sent me to someplace called eNOM where I would have to post it and bid on it, essentially buying it back from HIT. I elected not to do that and came up with a different domain name instead. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY who are skillful at bait and switch and whose product is bland and white bread.

Non performance, no customer service
I wish that I knew of this website before getting involved with HIT. I needed a website for my new business and HIT was recommended by VendorSeek. I also sent a working prototype website that I built intending for them to use it as a requirements template and as a web presence while the "professionals" built the permanent site. It took 6 weeks before their version of a temp site was up. The site had no viable information (just one page). I could've put my site up on HostGator (my hosting company) in ONE day. Contact with HIT customer service was hit and miss - mostly miss. When I finally got some info from my sales rep, Rick Visser, he said that the account manager, Jon Faulring, had left the company and my project fell between the cracks. I also paid upfront, $2630. This was supposed to include the database program, edit software, a blog and design. Well, I never saw a blog, didn't require their text wizards because I liked what I submitted, and I never saw a design. Today, I had enough and redirected the name servers off HIT and back to HostGator. I'm firing them and then bringing a lawsuit if my money is not refunded. My family does not lack lawyers.
BEWARE of this charlatans.

Website purchased 13 months ago and still don't have a functioning site
I paid for my website 13 months ago. Since that time, I’ve had little help to get a functioning website. Prior to me signing an agreement with Hit Web Design, I had a functioning website doing fairly well. I wanted more functionality so I thought I’d go through a redesign. I wasn’t ok with the sale person selling me the services over the phone so I requested a meeting. In the meeting I sat down with the sales person and pulled up my current site and explained that I wanted all of the functionality that my current site had but additional functionality as well. We discussed everything page by page. Then later that day, I received a proposal via email for the site. Only it was very generic. It listed just the number of pages and the different features. It didn’t go into detail page by page like we had done in the meeting. I sent a follow up email asking for confirmation that I would have all of the functionality of my current site along with the additional features. Since then, I’ve been told over and over again that I didn’t purchase the functions and they can’t help me. This was a bait and switch. First of all, before having any website designed, understand function terms for instance, roll over navigation and expandable navigation. I had both of the functions on my previous site but I didn't know what they were called. I left it up to the sales guy to include in the quote all of my functionality. It didn't happen.
In addition, they can’t get anything right. I’ve sent well over 100 emails and made numerous telephone calls but no one can seem to help me. No one is doing a thing on my site and in the mean time I’m losing so many sales.
Save yourself hours of time and the frustration of dealing with a highly unprofessional company and don’t use Hit Web Design aka Heritage Web Solutions. You're throwing your money away if you do. Consider yourself warned!
