BAD BAD service, overcharged, auto charge
They over promised, took forever to design website. Their designers were not very good. I practically had to design the page myself, even though I paid them to do it. Took about four months to complete design, and charged me all that time as if I had a live website up! They then overcharged me. When I caught it, I had to fight and fight to correct it. Finally only half corrected. They tell you things when selling you their service, but they don't put it in writing, so later they can say, that's not what you got... They automatically charge you, even when you tell them you don;t want the service! This company is obviously all about growth (theirs-- at all costs) not about serving you.

This company has "no shame". Our company depends on our website for our children book purchases. HIT is a monster company that is truly despicable in their company practices--unethical in following through on customer complaints. They are also nickle and diming us to death. Our website was wonderful but now it is in shambles because it isn't working properly. We want in on the class action lawsuit against them. Their faulty software gave our website updating issues and their technicians screwed up the change back. Don't ever give them your credit card information. What a sham!

9 months - home page not done
I paid $1500 on dec 1st 2009, it is now aug 17th 2010 and my home page isnt done. besides the fact that they had all my photos and text and everything by jan 1st, im actually amazed they can do so little. I was supposed to get into contact by holly over 6 weeks ago and she was going to make heads roll as she is a manager, nothings changed.. nothings done.
Never hire these people.. i am going to get my refund from my credit card and file it under fraudulent inducement in courts if they want to go there.

Service, products, everything
This company is the worst ever.
No one gives you any answers to your question.
They just pass you from person to person with nothing ever getting fixed.
They just put you on hold forever.
After 1 full year of working to get the web site up there are several issuse. When I call to get it fixed they just play the pass around gam.
I personally have invsted over 100 hours into the development of the web site that I apied over $1, 200.00 for.
They do nothing, just plug in YOUR information and call it a design.
Works customer service I have ever had from any company ever...

Fraudulent behavior, theft of funds
I negotiated a deal for a webpage to be designed for a total of $600, I paid $300 down as agreed, which they promptly took from my credit card and bank account. The deal was for $300 down and the other $300 to be paid upon completion of the webpage which would be turned over to me and I would find my own host for it. They sent me some forms to fill out and a questionaire to fill out supposedly for the webdesigner. This was all negotiated on a Thurs/Friday, the money was taken the following Monday, the questionaire was to be completed by me before Monday and sent via e-mail to the webdesigner, I had it in to them on Sunday night. They said they would call me that following Tuesday after the had received payment and get started immediately. I never heard from them again about anything having to do with building my webpage. I requested a full refund, 10 days later, many days and phone calls later I was told it would be processed but I was only entitled to $150 of my money back, and the refund would be processed in order of refund requests. This could take months, possibly years! I complained and complained, called numerous times and they still won't process my refund, and giving me only half my money back for something they did nothing on is totally unacceptable! This is the worst and most unprofessional company I have ever done business with in the last 30 years! They should give everyone their money back that they have screwed over and commited blatant fraud and theft against and be shut down immediately. Thank you! Mark Willis

These robbers promised the moon when they pitched the website but after paying $300 dollars they did absolutely nothing, . I called and wanted to cancel. Holly Stickney senior customer service agent and rip off artist assured me the website would get started, and a website designer would contact me.
A designer did who sloppily photo shopped a picture and put a mess called a website together. Then there was nothing for a week until I called again and threaten to cancel. Andrew in the customer service department advised me none of my money was to be returned. I did have a account manager named Kaden Jensen who was totally useless but he did get a programmer to call me.
Their programmer called regarding RSS feeds I requested to be on the website. He was a nice guy but there was no direction. I was also trying to get a hold of the website designer with ideas to clean up the website. I emailed and called; never a response.
At this point in time I decided no more cash was going to this fraud machine. I called Holly - the person who was suppose to be watching my account didn't even know what was going on. She again reiterated monies were no available for refund. I was so tired of calling these cretins and waiting for 15 to 20 minutes to get a live body I just wanted out.
It seems like I'm not the only one that has had an issue with this company and they need to be shut down.

BEWARE - CROOKS
BEWARE!!
I was referred to Hit Web and did not do any research on the company. My experience has been horrible.
After 4 months and hours and hours of calls and emails, I have absolutely nothing for the $500 I paid them.
I decided to terminate my agreement and asked for my money back and they told me the fine print in the agreement basically says they do not have to deliver anything and they can terminate at any time without notice or a refund.
Please tell everyone not to go near this company.

Poor customer service
HIT Web Design is the most unprofessional company that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their customer service is a joke - they take WEEKS to complete ANY simple task and that's if you're fortunate enough to have them complete the task at all! They've charged my credit card for fees that I never authorized and offered no explanation for same. They never return phone calls or e-mails. I would HIGHLY recommend against using this company.

incomplete website
Like many other people here I chose HIT Web Design to build my company's website. After more than three months and hundreds of phone calls I realized that they had no intention of ever finishing my site. Their contract basically says that once they start a section of your site that you are no longer allowed a refund. They start all of the sections. They finish none. Ultimately I filed a small claims lawsuit in Utah's 4th District court (utcourts. gov 801.756.9654). I live out of state so I was glad that this can all be done by mail. The cost is about $100 to file and another $40 for the constable to serve the summons. Both of these expenses plus the cost of a refundable airline ticket, rent-a-car and a hotel can all be added to your claim amount against HIT. I encourage everyone who has been wronged by HIT to file a small claims lawsuit. One of two things will then eventually happen. Either they will change their ways or they will go out of business.

I was actually referred to Hit Web from an acquaintance, so I did not do any research on the company, boy was that a huge mistake. Things started good, and then quickly turned bad.
They said my site would take 4 weeks to complete, and we struck a deal on price ` $1300.00.
At 9 weeks, I was informed they could not meet my needs unless I paid them an additional $4200.00 more for additional programming.
Throughout the process it was impossible to even talk live with anyone who was supposabley doing development work on my site.
I decided to terminate my agreement and asked for my money back. Took me 4 weeks to get them to approve a partial refund of $360.00.
Now 13 weeks later and me calling accounting every week for the last 7 Andrew G says I do no get a refund
Later when I went to terminate they produced a very long TOC that basically says they do not have to deliver anything and they can terminate at any time without notice or a refund.
If you want your domain name they require you pay 12 months worth of hosting ($360) even though they are not hosting anything.
The only work completed in the 9 weeks was a 4 very crude and simple landing pages, because of that they refused to give me a refund.
TOC produced after asking for refund stated; A 100% cancellation fee will be retained by HIT and NO REFUND issued if any changes and/or modifications requested by the Client have been completed by HIT. No Refund will be issued on any website cancelled after services have been rendered, including but not limited to, the design work having been completed and/or the website taken live.
