We notified HH Gregg on December 23, 2009 that our flat screen t.v. was not showing a picture. We were under warranty, and we were told that it would be repaired or replaced. We did not hear from a service provider (GE) for almost two weeks.
With this being the holiday, guests in our house, we had to purchase another television from HH Gregg - additional expense we incurred. We continued to call the store, the service provider, and attempted to reach corporate to no avail. Finally, we were told that the serviceman did come n- only to indicate that he thought it was the panels, and he would order them. We waited two weeks, and again we did not hear from anyone and proceeded the research again. On January 4, 2009, we were told that one of the panels was on backorder and the Estimated Arrival Date is January 12, 2009. Again, on the 13th, we began the calls again. The serviceman from GE was so very rude and stated that he would only come out at his convenience. We explained that we would like to set up an appointment very soon because now it had almost been a month and we had not heard anything. We also told him that we were educators and unable to leave during the 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m hours to meet him. Again, he was very, very rude. Finally, he did arrive about a week later on Saturday morning...only to discover that he was not able to repair the television - an incorrect part. We waited almost ten days, and again started the phone calling. Finally, at the end of January we heard from the technician. He came to the house, unable to fix the television, and took it to his home to wait for another part and repair it. To date, we have NOT received our television. He even wants us to pick it up from his resident - absurb!! Again, we have called him, and as of 2/15/09--we have not received our television, nor a call from HHGregg, nor any additional information. The service has been AWFUL. The fulfillment of the warranty has not been done as committed. Added expense, for which we are not pleased. It is absolutely absurb that we have not received a resp0nse as yet. All documentation of phone calls and individuals is available. At this point, we would like to have our television replaced, .
