illegal deduction from checking account
I see that at the end of each month you keep deducting $19.95 from my checking account. I want it stopped right now. I have not ordered anything. I want to cancel my membership to HMS Movies. Thank you.

placing a charge on my credit card - never agreed to "club membership"
I ordered a DVD from this company. They charged me for the DVD and then added a 19.99 charge (separately for CLUB membership. I never joined a"Movie Club" or agreed to a club membership FEE.

Membership Charge
Ordered a DVD from HotMovieSales website found via Google search. Cheap price and cheap shipping - THERE'S A REASON! Be careful when you order form HMS to look at the leftmost pane on the website during checkout and order the movie WITHOUT signing up for the conditions of a membership (very bottom). If you don't, HMS (i.e. BestBrandValues) will charge you $19.95 PER MONTH for a membership. Is it ILLEGAL that they charged you - no, but it's a pretty sh**ty way of doing business. Call IMMEDIATELY for a membership cancellation and make sure you get a cancellation number via e-mail. Bad news is that the first month's $19.95 is NON-REFUNDABLE (read the fine print) so you just bought the worlds most expensive movie when you thought you were getting a deal. What a scam...

fraudulent charges
My daughter just got ripped by these people...their $19.95 charge cost her $50 in overdraft fees. Luckily I work at the financial institution that her account is at. I looked up their terms of use and no "membership" or "membership fee" is mentioned. I told her to call them up and cancel the membership and demand a refund of this fee. If she needed to go higher than the CSR on the phone then ask for a supervisor and do not let up until they give her the money back. They claim they couldn't give her the money for the movie back since it was in the process of shipping...yeah right. Told her if she doesnt get the movie in 2 weeks to call back and demand that refund as well. She didn't have to go to a supervisor, but they did ask how she knew their was a membership if she didn't agree to it which she told them about this website and the guy immediately agreed to refund the $19.95. She also told them she had a copy of their terms in front of her and it wasn't in there either. So I hope this helps anyone out on getting their money back.

Unauthorized membership fee
Bought 2 DVDs on 5/20/2009 for $12.57. Hms systematically debited my account 4 month thereafter until I realized I had been scammed. I called and they glady cancelled my "membership" which I never signed up for in the first place. The lady told me that theywould not reverse the $48 they bilked from my account.

Fraudulent Charge
Upon examining my August 2009 credit card statement from VISA, I discovered a fraudulent charge. The source of this charge was HMS Movies in Florida. The company had charged me a membership fee of $19.95 that I had never agreed to. The company made the same charge to my credit card in July 2009. I, this day, contact HMS movies and requested cancellation of my unwanted membership.
