Horrible customer service
I recently had my wedding with the Holiday Inn RIDC in Pittsburgh, PA. I just want to warn anyone who is interested in booking your wedding at this establishment to really think twice about it. The woman who was in charge of planning, Jackie, is not good at her job. Getting her to return phone calls was a nightmare until we spoke to her boss about it. We booked a room at the Holiday Inn and sent out all the wedding invitations. I received a phone call about 2 months before the wedding. I returned the phone call, and did not receive a return call until 8 days later from Jackie telling me that the room we had booked (which was being remodeled) was not going to be ready in time for the wedding. She waited 8 days to tell me that slightly important information. They offered to move the wedding to the Comfort Inn in Harmarville, which is owned by them as well. They begrudingly agreed to pay for new invitations and the postage to have them sent out. Next, when my guests were attempting to book rooms at the new hotel, I was informed by one of my friends that they couldn't book a room at the wedding rate because they had the wrong date in the computer, and it had to be changed by Jackie. After a nasty voicemail complaining about everything, she said they could give me 10% off of the wedding. Next, on the day of the wedding, my family had gone to the hotel early to check on things, because everything seemed to not be taken care of. The roses we had agreed upon, half of them were almost dead. My aunt had to complain to Jackie and her boss (who also did not seem to care), and they reluctantly found new roses that weren't the same color for the reception. We were supposed to have champagne in the bridal refresher room, of course that never happened. And to add the final insult to injury, as part of the contract, we were to have a complimentary jacuzzi room for our wedding night with champagne. Jackie, in her infinitely busy schedule, didn't even book us a room, let alone a jacuzzi room, and of course there was no champagne. I would highly advise anyone looking into having their wedding at the Comfort Inn Harmarville or the Holiday Inn RIDC in Pittsburgh to truly rethink it because of the horrible customer service I have received.
