First, Grupo Mayan and Holiday Systems Intl. sell timeshares, but if they can't get you to buy those, and you think you are about to leave; they have a secondary set of people that for less money will sell you a 10 year package with a $99/ year fee to buy a week or two of unused timeshare rentals. They are separate corporations, HSI is in the USA and Grupo Mayan is in Mexico, but they said, in writing, that they do not exchange money between the two. We have paper stating they do. They caught us under duress, we went to get our $50 back that the guy took from us at airport in Cabo San Lucas to make sure we'd show up; "just 90 minutes, folks". We were having a wonderful time, until we went to this "90 min." presentation that lasted all day. I have a neurological disorder, but once we left to get our taxi back, or so we thought, we were caught by the secondary people. I was having a seizure, I didn't bring meds for it (AFTER ALL WHAT CAN HAPPEN IN 90 MINUTES!) and they kept after my husband, until just to get out to get my meds to stop my seizure, we paid $1600 for a 10 year package. We found out how bad the rentals were in Puerto Vallarta. I have pictures of the mold and videos of the noise (all to large to fit below); and they remodeling the premises, folks! We were assured we couldn't get anything in March when we wanted it, and so we went here in November for TWO WEEKS! They stated the remodeling (we found listed online, they did not tell us because they can't know everything!) would be done by our trip. It was just starting. I think the hotel was built during the "Loveboat" TV series and they haven't upgraded yet. They used old blocks in their new renovation. They took our slip with an emergency number, and would segue in to Spanish when we asked for it back. No working phone, noise, nothing to do. Couldn't call to leave, had to stay. Just really, really bad...the video's and pictures speak louder than words. I am the same as the person, who thinks Cancun, then thinks HSI; but instead we think Los Cabos and a beautiful vacation scheduled through American Airlines ruined. Puerto Vallarta makes my blood pressure rise, because of HSI and Grupo Mayan. Oh, and don't try the BBB in Nevado; they are worthless. Signed wingrider54
