We purchased an upgraded time share in Mexico almost 3 years ago. We are still registered as owners of this property even though we signed the necessary documents to have the transfer completed. Holiday Transfer sends out a notice just prior to Maintenance fees being due and doesn't leave the owners very much time to follow up. Owners are then responsible for payment of the fees plus any additonal fees that have been accumlated becuase payment is late.
This has gone on for 3 years. The first contact at Holiday Transfer Services assured us that she had everything necessary to proceed with the transfer. Then just about when our fees were due again the following year, we received another notice from another person who stated the first person was no longer there and she was taking over. There was no communication until the time when the Maintenance Fees were due. This was last August 2009. She also stated she had all the paperwork necessary for the transfer. This time we were sent to Collections. So again we paid late fees and the Maintenance Fees for the year. In November 2009 we received notice again that paperwork needed to be signed and sent back and that they sent out the paperwork in November (about the time our fees are due). The paperwork was returned to them becuase no one bothered to check to see if the address was current. However, they received the paperwork back in there office on November 13 but did not notify us that they never received signed documents until Dec 22 just before the Christmas Holiday in which their offices were closed for two weeks. I've tried several times to call and have sent numerouse emails to have someone call me back. I've asked for documentation of the signature that the first paperwork was refused. They did send that. But this is unacceptable that this game goes on and on. This company should not be permitted to conduct business. The names of the people involved that I've spoken to are Manager, Ms Preston, Blanca Hernandez, Melissa Mojica, [email protected],
Hilda Laloulu, [email protected].
I've spoken to PONO KAI, the resort we are transferring, and they have basically said it is out of their hands. All they want is the corrected paperwork.
I've called Chicago Title who is the seller of the property and they have not returned my phone call.
I continue to get excuses that "it takes time", "the process is lengthly" etc, etc, etc.
I will never do business with them again.
