unprofessional management
I was working at the Holliday Inn in Graham Texas. The manager of the hotel, Mike Oneil, was usually out and about the hotel while I was working. I had been doing the breakfast shift for a while, and sometimes it would get a bit stressful when we would be running low on milk or food for the guests. I was doing my job quickly and as efficiently as possible considering the amount of guests we had come in for breakfast when my hotel manager, Mike O'neil approached me. He informed me that we were running low on coffee and food and that I needed to "fill it up now". It wouldn't have struck me as anything other than him doing his job, except he was very rude and unprofessional towards me in front of our hotel guests, and even more upsetting his breath reaked of alcohol. I was of course embarrassed, but informed him that I just couldn't do it, in meaning that I could have used some help. He walked away and I continued the morning work. After speaking with several people about what had happened I realized that Mike did this to several employees on more than one occasion. The fact that he was obviously under the influence of alcohol while at work, made the fact that he had treated me unprofessionally in front of our guests believable. Later that day, I received a text message from the assistant saying that I was being let go for having an attitude with Mike. I was stunned. I explained to her what had happened and was informed that she couldn't help me but was very sorry. This Hotel has ridiculous management and was very unprofessional.
