Horrible X-mas Online Shopping - very very poor customer service
Let me start off by saying, I will never shop @ Hollister again. My husband and I experience the worst X-mas online shopping ever!! We ordered some items for out son, when the box arrived it was missing items and we received 2 of the same item that we did not as for, only 1. When he makes the 1st call, he was told that an internal investigation needs to be done and we will get the item in January!! R u kidding me!!! The jeans that were on back order will come sometime in January as well. I don't think so. Now, I've had to call and get the run around, no manager will get on the phone with you. I was promised a delivery of today 12/28/10 with a $25 gift card for all my troubles and guest what, still not shirt. I called the corp office and now being told I will get it on Thursday, it's on hold to make sure that the correct item gets shipped. What co do you know of that when u call and ask for a supervisor, one does not get on the phone? I asked for an increase in the gift card for all my troubles and was told "no" $25 is the max. What kind of business are they running????? This was our 1st and last experience with this retailer. My advise don't use them and if u must have their clothes go directly to the store.

Stole my money
After ordering and receiving a large amount of clothing, I noticed one shirt was obviously not worth what I'd spent. I contacted customer service who politely emailed me to ship the item back and they would allow an exchange, refund credit, etc. I opted to just do a credit refund. However, I realized that the card I'd used to make the purchase was no good because that account was closed. I informed them of this before they processed my return. Shortly after, I received an email saying that they were going to credit my account; that they'd received the item. Wow... wait?!? Credit to what account? Can't you mail me a check? My account was closed, remember?

I contacted customer service again who said "Whoops, not our fault. We can't process a credit nor allow an exchange because you aren't able to use the same payment method." Seriously? So, you just made me send back a shirt and you won't give my money back? You literally just stole money from me.

They've sent multiple emails saying I need to contact my bank (which I did and they said they can't do anything because the account is closed and the funds were rejected).

Hollister said they are trained at supervisor level and they cannot help me. So, they took my money, they took my shirt, and hear I sit. I think a lawsuit needs to be started against this company.

Discrimination
Good Afternoon .. I am loyal consumer of Hollister clothing. I live in Miami Florida. On Saturday April 30, 2011. Visit as always Hollister Co. store located in the International Mall, Miami International Mall and is visited by many tourists speaking Spanish, and many who live here speak little English, but we're CLOTHING HOLLISTER .. MY COMPLAINT IS AS FOLLOWS:
STORE 30419 (1455 NW 107 AVE MIAMI FL 33172) REG.003 TRANS.8873 DATE :04-30-2011 15:24 CASHIER: 01410792 AMOUNT OF SALE: $ 105.90

I walk the store and take 12 pieces of clothing. When facing the cashier noticed that some prices were not correct, I try to communicate with that person and did not understand what I was saying. I asked him if I had someone who could help and another person who was behind the cashier called Milva Rodriguez turned out to be the manager of the store ... Milva Rodriguez said in Spanish lenguanje NOT HERE NO ONE TO SPEAK SPANISH SO THAT WE IN AMERICA. He turned around and left the place.

QUESTION
ME BECAUSE I SPEAK IN SPANISH AND GAVE NO HELP ME?
I DO NOT HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS FOR NOT SPEAK ENGLISH?
YOUR BRAND IS IN ALL COUNTRIES, AMERICAN OR IS THAT JUST FOR PEOPLE WHO SPEAK THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE?

I felt pretty DISAPPOINTED BY YOU.

Long Lines
Almost every Hollister store i go into always has a long line that moves very slow. It has been about 3 occasions where i went to purchase something and the line was so long and not moving that i walked out without purchasing the item. I like their clothes, but gosh, not that much. Another time, i waited in line for a good 15 minutes and there was only 2 people in front of me! That is rediculous. There is always only 1 person at the register, 2 at most. If i can suggest something, please have more people checking the customers out.

Rip off
HOLLISTER CO. let someone else use my credit card did not id them and only want to give store credit and i am stuck with the bill tried to call the store and explain this problem they tell me to contact customer service .there is no customer service it says email so i email them and its we are sorry we can only give store credit i dont like there clothes i am 54 yrs old not 19 now im stuck with a bill and they keep my money this is without a doubt the worst store i have ever dealt with.

Discrimination
I am a 21 year old asian female and I love to shop at hollister for the clothes and usually friendly service until I came to shop at the Hollister Co. in downtown, San Francisco at Westfield Mall. I came in yesterday, May 24, 2010 in the afternoon around 5 o'clock, everything was going well until this one chick decides to start following me, she isnt slick at all. She was breathing down my neck off of everything i was looking at. She followed me around in every section of the store. Is this a way to treat your customers? Company description says that the company focuses on teen clothing, I must have missed the part that said WHITE PEOPLE only because there were plenty of white people shopping around but i didnt see her following them around like dogs! I find her very discriminating and racist! I make more than enough money to pay her by the hour so she really needs to work on her customer service. I will not be going there any longer and i will make sure to it that everyone i know that goes there wont be going there either

Canceling orders
They canceled previous orders without cause and their customer services was the absolute worst I have ever seen. Went as far as calling their home offices, only to then be treated very rudely and ultimately passed off to an automated complaint recording, to which I never received a call back from. So I will never recommend, nor will I ever purchase another item from that complany, not for myself or for others. And you can bet I will continue to share that opinion with anyone whom ask.

And as stated, I even tried calling and speaking to someone in their corporate offices in N.Y. To no avail whatsoever.

customer service
On May 15 I visited store number 404 Puente Hills, CA I attempted to make an exchange without a receipt but was not allowed. The person in charge refused to do it because she said the items were full priced, ALL THAT I WANTED TO DO WAS EXCHANGE THEM FOR THE RIGHT SIZES. When I asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager, then I asked for the store manager name and she said she was the store manager- Jessica. I asked her why couldn’t she just do the exchange and she said she had the right to refuse to do it, which I would understand if the items were worn or without tags and they were only 2 items. THEN I ASKED HER FOR THE DISTRICT MANAGERS NAME AND SHE REFUSED TO DO THAT, SHE SAID THAT SHE COULDN’T GIVE OUT HER NAME!!! When I told her that I would either email or call corporate to ask for an explaination on this matter all that she did was shrug her shoulders and roll her eyes. When I asked her what was I supposed to do with the items if I couldn’t exchange them she again just shrugged her shoulders! SHE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS DOING SOMETHING WRONG. She made me feel impontent. SHE DID NOT GIVE ME OPTIONS TO RESOLVE THE MATTER ARE YOU???All that I wanted to do was exchange two items……..

I was less than impressed with the customer service
Recently I visited store # 234 in Olympia, WA. I was less than impressed with the customer service. As I made my through the store I was finally greeted in the clearance section. I asked the two associates about a particular shirt and was never given an answer. I must have interrupted their Starbucks Coffee break. I then walked over to the men’s section where I was forgotten about completely. DID I MENTION I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE? Being a former retail manager I was appalled.

Awful, awful, awful
Today i went into hollister 3 times and here is my story.. the hollister in el paso tx at cielo vista mall #915-887-0966...the first time i went in i was window shopping...the 2nd time i went in to buy merchandise... i was given 3 gift cards for my birthday.. $50, 30 and 25... i took the $50 and $25 cards with me... not once did anyone say, "hi, " or "welcome to hollister"... no one offered to help or asked if i was doing okay... coming from a business point of view... not acknowledging the customer isnt at the top of the list for good customer service... so i get up to the register and im told that one of my gift cards does not have money in it.. imagine my surprise.. that my family would get a gift card from anywhere and give it to me without any money... does hollister give away gift cards with empty balances?.. luckily the $50 gift card registered... so i put the remaining 33.90 on my debit card... when i get back home i try the polo on and find that it doesn't fit my style and so i decided to take it back... no problem i thought to return the polo and get the refund back onto my debit card.. so i go back into the store a couple hours later, for the 3rd time today... again no one acknowledges me.. what a surprise... so there is only one person in front of me at the register... after waiting a few minutes the clerk comes up to the register... does not apologize for the wait or ask how he can help us... so he proceeds in cashing out the customer in front of me.. after he is done... he just walks off.. does not tell me that he will come back or even acknowledge that i am there... how would you have responded so far?.. so a couple minutes go by and he comes back.. i advise him that i want to return the polo... he calls the manager over the intercom to authorize the return.. standard procedure no biggie... so the manager comes to the register.. and the clerk, not the manager, tells me that even though the polo is worth less than 32.00 and my debit charge is 33.90...that i cannot be credited back on my debit card... wow so hollister gets $50, 30, 25 and my 33.90... is hollister really that hard up for cash?... no other options given.. no apologies... and so i walked out the store completely disgusted with the service that was provided... what service really?.. i couldve gotten better service from a self check out register... at least it says thank you...

so my money and my time that i wont get back were lost...im not the kind of customer to raise a fuss or be rude..im the silent customer who focuses on never coming back to your store and telling at least 20 friends and family... so for 33.90+25.00= 58.90 ... hollister will lose several customers and future revenue...i am so upset that i am going to return all the merchandise...i guess you could say that i had a bad experience with your company...unfortunately i still have to go back to return all my merchandise of 83.90...im gonna try returning the merchandise at another store... even though it says i can on the receipt i wonder if ill get the same treatment...
