Awful customer service
I know this company wont care about making it right as the customer service i recieved in a flagship store was beyond awfull the staff were rude in fact i dont actually know if it was there job to make the customer feel as uncomfortable as possible and to have 0 knowledge of the stock and to just stand around chatting while you not only struggle to see and move but find it hard to think as the volume of the music is so loud you would be forgiven for thinking you had walked into some kind of indie bar or club, the unwilling staff are not the only thing letting thm down the shop was layed out badly and people could barely move i do recall a time where only a certain amount of people were allowed in at one time if it was becoming crowded the que was huge and not that i expected an apology anyway due to the vacant expressions on the staffs faces i didnt get one. i am very dissapointed and yes people will always shop there because of the brand name but they could make more sales if they employed commpatent staff which i doubt there is any danger of that happening.so overall i dont reccomend it at all. i just want add i would say to use the internet but...after reading reviews from hollister online shopping i wouldnt bother.

Misleading
On December 6th, I received an email from this company promising a $25 gift card for any purchase over $75 before 8pm EST. I placed an order and received a confirmation email at 7:51pm EST. My order total was $87.33. When I called Hollister to inquire about my gift card, I was rudely informed that my merchandise total was only $72.00. I asked if I could add any more to make my total enough and of course the answer was no, and if I return the order, my shipping and handling fees will not be refunded. This company has lost a valuable customer.

display items not for sale
I can't believe Hollister is more worried about their displays than making a Sale... My daughter picked out a little cardigan that was on display... we searched the store with no help from the young man working in the front half of the store who told me he would look but than came up to me and said he couldn't since he couldn't leave the front half of the store... If you are going to have items on DISPLAY they need to be in the store for sale also... THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT... but evidently they can not take any of the items off display even when they have multiplies on display... Sounds like they don't need to make a sale!! also thankfully that the one little tank top she found and didn't realize at the time was also marked "DISPLAY NOT FOR SALE" in the "FOR SALE" stacks that after we stood in the long lines they actually did have another one ... to "SALE" to us... of course they had NO CLUE of how it got into the ACTUAL FOR REAL FOR SALE STACK!

Child Denied Use of Bathroom
This evening I took my daughters shopping for clothing. My oldest daughter wanted to purchase a number of items from Hollister . Shortly after we arrived, my daughter gathered numerous items to try, and I was prepared to spend a substantial amount of money as she has outgrown all her clothes. At that time, my 7 year old daughter informed me that she had to use a restroom immediately. I asked the sales associate if my daughter could please use the restroom, but she told me "no". I was shocked and quite disappointed. I told my older daughter to put the clothing down as we had to leave in search of a restroom. We were lucky to leave before my daughter urinated on the floor, which would have been a fine mess for the sales associate to have to clean up.
This Hollister store is located at an outdoor mall. I didn't know where I could find a bathroom, and the sales associate offered no directions or advice. Therefore, I had to leave quickly, load my children in the car as fast as possible and drive to a restaurant where my daughter could use a restroom.
It is a shame that the company does not value its customers. I completely understand that these stores have company policies that don't allow public access to their restrooms, but could it really hurt to let a child use the facility in an emergency situation?
I am so disappointed in my shopping experience at Hollister.

Poor Service
We arrived at the store at 9:55 am, the store is suppose to open at 10 am. At 9:58 two people arrived and said the store would be open shortly. The man, with no name tag, opened the tarp at the front of the store at 10:05. I asked if we could go in, he said yes. There was one other person waiting too. Upon going to the front desk the girl, cashier number 01538123, with no name tag, was on the phone, it did not sound business related at all, finally got off the phone to do our return. She did the return for me and at the same time my daughter was looking for some more outfits. The cashier was serving the another lady, the person who was waiting outside with us, and my daughter wanted to try something on, I had to search for the male employee who was checking out and adjusting his hair at the front of the store. I asked him to open the change room and he did. While waiting for my daughter to try clothes on I was standing at the check out waiting to pay for what she picked out, the lady cashier disappeared and the best part was she left a huge pile off cash sitting on the counter. If I wanted to I could have scooped it up and ran. With the poor service I thought of it but I did fill my personal information out for the return. We were ready to pay and she never came back so I want to find the guy, when my daughter called the cashier was back. The service was horrible. I tried to writed the company but there is no spot on their web site for consumer complaints!!! So if you come across this you may want to find out the names of these two horrible employees and repremand them, but yet compensate us.

Money scam
I placed an online order at Hollister, however moments after I realized I made a mistake on the order so I called them to see if they could fix the mistake in my billing address, they couldn't so we canceled the order (minutes after it was placed). They STILL have a hold of the money in my checking account. I called them yesterday and they said they put a hold on for 3-5 business days. Why? If I walk into a Hollister store and have some clothing in my hands and then decide that I don't want to buy it, employees don't run up and tell me they have to hold $200 but I can have it back 5 days later.

Customer Service -Joke
Hollister Customer Service - no help at all.
After telling the customer service rep that I wanted to speak to a manager, I was hung up on.
When I called back, I was informed that managers will not speak to customers..? Who are these people. Are they busy saving lives?
What pissed me off was that Hollister Clothing Company, ( keywords Hollister Clothing, Hollister Jeans, Hollister Co. ) shipped us the wrong order and expected us to pay to return their mistake without an apology or even a hint of apology for the mistake.
Note to shareholders - sell !!

Horrible customer service
Visited Hollister today (Saturday, October 2 at 3:30pm) with my son. It was the second time I had visited a Hollister, the first time being almost three years ago to buy gift certificates for a friends children. The obvious: it's dark, it's loud...no big deal. However, I was absolutely shocked by the blatant rude behavior from two of it's employees. Here is my story:
I was standing in line behind a customer who had a large purchase. There were apporximately three customers behind me. There were several sales associates passing behind the cash register. None stopped to assist any of the customers in line. After the customer in front of me had problems with their large purchase I asked a sales associate if it was possible to open a second register. She rudely replied "That's what I'm TRYING to do." But, she wasn't really trying to open a register. She was trying to finish the task of taking empty boxes to the stock room...not a priority...so we waited. We waited. We waited. She finally returned and said the next person could come to her register...which was me. I had one item to buy. The sales rep said something to me. I didn't hear her. I leaned in and said "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." She was quite dismissive and said "Forget it!" But it was the WAY she said it...just rude. And LOUD. So, I said again "I'm sorry...I just didn't hear what you had said (she probably said something like "Did you find everything alright?"...but I REALLY didn't hear her.) Anway, she walked off...leaving me to wait some more. I could tell she left just to have some control of the situation...I mean, all I said was "I didn't hear you" and she felt the need to get hostile with me...rolling her eyes, turning her back and just being plain rude. She went to the stock room where she was talking to another sales rep...and they were both looking at me. I'm thinking "Really? I just said "I'm sorry...I just couldn't hear you" and she feels the need to get her manager?!?!
Anyway...the manager comes over...irritated. I leaned in and asked him if he was the manager and he said yes. I told him his sales rep was rude to me and raised her voice with me and all I did was say "I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you, what did you say."...he proceeded to roll his eyes at me...deep sigh...very irritated. I simply couldn't belive that this was happening. Really? Is this the way you treat your customers??? I did nothing...I approached the counter...and was asked a question...which I didn't hear...and it turned into a "power trip" for the sales rep. The manager was horrible. He said "I just want to get you on your way". Really?!?!?
I've been in retail management with a major company for 10 years...upper level management. I am absolutely shocked that a manager would act this way. This was a horrible experience. I came home and contacted Hollister by phone. I was given a recorded message stating they take care of "store issues" by e-mail. Wonder why...because they have so many!
As I was researching the internet looking for Hollisters customer service phone number I have run into sevearl people complaining about their customer service. I hope they know they can't continue to treat customers badly and expect to have a long-term successful business. It may be successful now...and they think people will buy their prodcut regardless of how they treat their customers...but I for one won't be returning.

Unsatisfactory service
I am disappointed with the service provided by the Hollister store at Westfield Mall, Uk. I purchased a Hollister hoodie on the 4th September for my daughters birthday, which was on the 5th September. All she wanted was a Hollister hoodie which she wanted to wear on her birthday. On the 5th September she went to try on her hoodie only to find that the electronic tag was not removed from the garment. She was guttered, cried and said it was her worst birthday. To following day my husband call the store pointing out that we live a distance away from the store and we had a problem that needed to be resolved. The attendant told him to go any store with the receipt to remove the tag. However this resulted in further embarassment as we where seen by other store as having stolen the item dispite providing the receipt. To date i had been unable to take the article back to the store.
I am sad and disappointed that my daughters birthday was effectively ruined by the actions of Hollister. I will be taking this item back to Hollister, which then leaves me incurring further cost. As Hollister is a popular brand amongst young people i do believe that greater caution needs to be taken by attendants when cashing items. I also noted that the cashiers at the store were chatting amongst themselves displaying little concentration on the work at hand. I would be greatful if you could acknowledge my complaint and provide me with a response.
Yours sincerely

False Accusations
Okay So 2 Years ago, I got a job at The hollister at carriage crossing mall in collierville TN, That same day I got a levulan treatmenton my face, which makes your face feel like its inflames for about 1 week, as I went into work for my first day at hollister for the 3 hours that i was there I could een smile becasue i was in so much pain, I wanted to ask the managment constantly if i could come back next week but I was afraid they would just fire me becasue it was my first day. Then I decided on my own that I would jusyt have to leave, so I decided to leave after m first 3 hours there becasue the pain was so unbarable. 2 years after that incedent I am now liveing in rancho palos verde, CA and recently applied at an abercrombie and Fitch store at a nearby mall. that same day I got interviewed. 4 days later I called abercrombie and fitch and they told me that they couldnt hire me becasue I was in the HR system as non-rehirable.I was puzzeled and asked why?... The managaer of the store then told me that i had worked for hollister and that the manager there told HR that i had been written up 3 times becasue i had a bad attitude and i was a bad worker. First of all I only worked for hollister for 3 hours of my life, 2nd of all i never signed anything saying stating that i was writen up. and 3rd of all i never got payed for the 3 hours that i was there !!! tha manager at the hollister i worked out 2 years ago totally lied and now im unrehirable for no reason !!! who do i tell of this ?? I need HR to change this !
