I should have known that this was too good to be true. But as a college student who has 3 jobs and is still trying to pay next month's rent, it is easy to fall victim to these quick-money making scams. Basically these companies like using the name 'Google' (along with their same font and look) as a way to appear legitimate. They also use logos from 'CNN, ' 'USA Today', Yahoo, 'abc', etc.
But when I called (18004974988) the day after I found out they were never going to send that "kit, " they said they couldn't access my account! So I called again, and it sounded like the exact same Indian guy who just changed his name. But he too said he couldn't access my account, and I was charged the monthly subscription fee! The charge was under "SUPERGOOGL." So I tried calling the number on that bank charge and I got an automated voice saying to leave a message. Then after waiting, a lady's voice says "messages full." What's more phishy, is that I found out that they charged me the monthly fee BEFORE the 7-day trial period, only 3 days after signing up. Those selfish jerks are HUNGRY for your money!!!
Right away I filed a claim with my bank and cancelled my credit card. DO NOT hesitate any further, and change your credit card number right away. You can put stop payments on them, but then the scammers will just charge your account with a slightly different price. Best thing to do is GET A NEW CREDIT CARD ASAP!!!
Also, always check the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for actual proof of their existence. And just know that real money is slowly earned and through hard work! I know. Reality bites sometimes.
Best of luck to everyone else involved in these frustrating traps.
