Quality of merchandise and poor management
My husband and I purchased an Aspen home collection bedroom suite from the location on Capital Blvd. The items were purchased in Dec. 2009. Its now April 2010 and we still don't have a completed bedroom set. Pictured in the store were nightstands they didn't have available that we were told would be in in a few weeks. We've got one only a week ago and still no definite eta on the other. The communication from the manager at this location has been sub par and the owner has been the worse. The first headboard that came to my home had visible crease lines in the headboard where you could see it hadn't been put together well; this was not consistent throughout the headboard so it was an obvious manufacturer defect yet the owner hides behind what he refers too as factory specifications. The one in my possession now has a space in the corner where it was overly stained and it appears globbed up in the left corner. There has been one other attempt at delivery and that headboard had 2 obvious crease lines on the right side of the headboard. I pleaded with the mgr to allow me to visit the warehouse b/f delivery for inspection b/f I rec'd another headboad not to my satisfaction and his response was no due to safety. Instead, he offered that someone at the warehouse would inspect it...like some warehouse worker would care that what seems okay to him/her wouldn't be to me. The owner even had the nerve to complain to me directly that Home Comfort has not been paid a dime by the finance company b/c the entire set has not been delivered and acted as if that was my fault...i've been wtg on furniture that was ordered in December. Don't shop at these store locations if you want and expect quality furniture and/or customer service, b/c you get neither. I've been inconvenienced all this time and now have to re-shop for another suite that took us some time to find.
