I ordered a Samsung refrigerator on May19. The 5-10 day delivery promise was moved out to June 6 to June 13 (which is 17-24 days). After reading the delay scam used by this company, I emailed them and said:
I am seeing a lot of complaints about delays being made on shipments from HE. And about the condition of products. Please be advised that if the Samsung refrigerator that I ordered on 5/19/2011 is not shipped by 6/13/2011 as promised, I will cancel the order and dispute the credit card charges.
Also, I will open the box in the presence of the delivery driver, plug it in at the curb as suggested by your email sent 5/19/2011 and I quote:"Prior to signing for the shipment please open up the packaging and inspect the contents for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If you find any damage, immediately refuse delivery. The shipment will be returned back to us. Please contact us toll free to notify us that the item arrived damaged. We can not be held liable for any concealed damage that happened during shipment once signed for."
That day, they actually phoned me and advised me that my refrigerator was run into by a fork lift and that they would have to re-order it; and that it could not be delivered until June 30 at the earliest. They asked it I would like to cancel my order. Quickly and surely I answered YES!!!
