Lack of Customer Service
TENANT/LANDLORD/MILITARY BEWARE. This business claims they follow Oklahoma state laws. Never been in OK renting before, but we got stationed there. Rented a home that was previously rented by a friend of mine. The place was outdated but it is in a nice neighborhood, so we took it. We lived there, paid always on time and had no problems, until we gave our notice. My husband got orders. PLEASE do not assume that you can provide a 30 day notice once you get orders. The military clause apparently works different in OK. This place only allows you to brake a lease 30 days prior to your reporting date no matter where or when you plan to move. You will be responsible for PAYING EVERYTHING, whether you are living in the house or not. SO PLEASE READ YOUR CONTRACT or you will be in for a surprise. Once we gave them notice, they turned into Jekyll and Hyde. The service was HORRIBLE! The only communication they will expect to have with you is after you get your report of losses. I called numerous times to get someone to talk to me about this and they acted as I was annoying them. They even HUNG UP on me! When they finally sent me the papers, they sent them to the wrong address, because no one cared to ask, in the many times I called, what was my forwarding address. Then they blamed me for not providing it. They have no care for military families, no care for their tenants, and no care for the homes. It took me many calls to get someone to get tiles fixed in a one bathroom and we left and they still have the other bathroom to fix. The pictures in the website are not even updated pictures. The home does not look even close how it looks now and the way they inspect just sounds crooked. They do not walk through the property with you, they only look at pictures of before and pictures taken after you are already gone. So, make sure you take pictures of everything the way it was before you leave, because who knows what they will claim to be damaged. It is very hard to trust a company that treats people like this. Service is the last thing on their mind. Their treatment made me feel like the Landlords are their customers and tenants are just idiots who come and go. Tenants are the ones who pay for a service. WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS, and deserve respect. If they had professionals working for them and not just family members, they may be able to rent properties a bit faster. Something must have happend to the nice ladies we rented from a year ago. They left there. Im sure because they knew what went on there. LANDLORDS...sell your homes before putting your most precious asset in the hands of a business like this. If you continue to do so, Oh well. Just like with me, it will be a matter of time when you will see Jekyll come out and you will pay the price. A very hefty one. It was the worst renting experience I ever had.
