Unsatisfactory after sales service
For about a month and a half I was looking for a dining room table and finally found one at @Home living space in Melrose arch. After I have paid cash for it I was told that I have to wait a month for it to be delivered. On the 15 October I was contacted by @Home to say that they have received the table and that they will inspect it and deliver it in the next 10 working days. It was delivered on the 10th working day on the 29th. It was still unopened with the original staples on the box. It was never inspected and the legs of the table was broken. It was send back. On my inquiry on when I will receive a new table I was told that they will have to order a new one and that I will have to wait another 3 weeks. This isn't working for me. I would like a new table as well as an explanation why it wasn't inspected at first. I wanted to buy 6 Dining Room chairs to go with the table but have second thoughts now, after this incredible pathetic service. Could Head Office please come back to me?

False advertising
I went to shop at @Home store in Mimosa Mall, Bloemfontein. I wanted to buy coasters for my coffee table. The coasters I wanted had the price scratched out and the price on the shelf read R69.00. There were no bar codes to compare with. When I went to pay, the price of the coasters were R139.00. I queried this. The "manager" a Ms Koegh showed me a similar, not the same item and said I should have looked there for the price. I said it is false advertising to have a shelf price that differs from the actual price and she laughed at me. I asked why the item had the price scratched out and then we only had the display price to go by, I was told that the prices go up so often that they cannot keep changing the prices on the items in stock and headoffice had just instructed them to scratch out old prices. The public is being ripped off by @Home who is not only practising false advertising but also charging the public new prices for old stock. I left the store without purchasing anything as I refuse to shop at such an unethical shop.
