Im not submitting any complaint on a company but on the Home show itself. I have tried to email a complaint but I have not had a response. I am deeply concerned over this programmes lack of advice to the public regarding obtaining the relevant consents to carry out the works that are being done.
Not once except for the case of putting in a shed/office in the garden has George Clark mentioned regarding BEFORE any works are commenced that the owner should seek approval from the building inspector or planning consent. I find this disgraceful.
I am not a planner nor inspector nor am I a structural engineer, however I am a conveyancer. If a person wishes to purchase a house or sell for that matter without the necessary consents or notice that none are required the property would become unsaleable.
I must ask you to state clearly on EVERY programme that consents should be obtained.
Kindly acknowledge this complaint has been received and acted upon.
