Getting the Runaround
I have gotten the runaround time and time again however if you complain enough to the mitigation department they seem to help more. The # is 1-800-799-9250 Ext 874-3285. Good luck and let me know if anyone knows how to handle these situations through a court of law that does not require a lot of Money.

Ignoring my Request
___________I have a loan out with this company and have been trying to get in touch with management about paying off my loan. All I get is the run around from a cutomer service call center based in the Philippines! They the cutomer service reps. say they are Physically located in Waterloo Iowa and will not give me a name or direct number to a manager here in the U.S. that I can talk to about my Loan! Anyone have a Direct Number to the Waterloo, Iowa Office?

keeping insurance claim check
Hurricane Ike hit us and has done 33, 000.00 worth of damage. The insurance company State Farm has issued a claim check in the amount of 24, 452. for the first amount and it was also made out to us and the mortgage company. Homecomings Financial has had our check since November 10th, 2008...it was actually cashed by them according to State Farm on that day. Homecomings Financial sent out their own inspector to make sure the work is making progress and it was submitted to them at 90% complete and according to Homecomings Financial that is all they need to release the entire amount. As of today 12/11/2008 Homecomings Financial is still holding our money. I know that there is a 10 day law that they are suppose to release all funds. Everytime i talk to them it is always something different. Their policy seems to change daily. They have been caught in many lies. Please help me stop them from doing this. They should be made to release at a certain time or pay the homeowner a penalty for keeping their money.

Terrible experience
Since getting my mortgage refinanced though Homecomings financial. I have had to go to court every 3 months for 2 years to show proof of my payments. They finally agreed I was correct. After my lawyer and I spent all our time there. But now here we go again. I have been making them sign for each payment since the last time. So I recently received my new statement and once again. They say I am 2 payments behind. So I have contacted my lawyer and here we go again. There should be some way to stop these people. They are costing me time and money. If there are any lawyers who is interested in stopping these people please let me know.

Fraud and cheating
I contacted Homecomings 2 months ago to notify them that I needed to ask for a loan modification because I had recent living changes that caused me to get behind in my mortgage payments. Everytime I call the number I stay on the line for a long period of time sometimes over 30 minutes waiting for someone to pick up. I finally got someone on the line and asked for a supervisor. The woman was very rude and told me that she wasn't going to patch me through to anyone and hung up the phone. I then contacted them with Greenpath, a home saving company that is helping thousands of people save their homes from foreclosure. We sat on the phone for 2 hours with Homecomings and set up a payment plan. This entailed paying a payment for two months on a specific date and after that they will request a home modification to lower my payments. I made the payments on time and was told that they closed out my case and that I had 3 months worth of payments to make or they were going to foreclose on my home. I have been trying to contact someone for a week to get it straight. I finally got someone on saturday after they called me several times for payment just to find out that the cashier messed up the payment and that I would have to start the two payments all over again. I then yelled in the phone and someone said they were going to help me. I called again today and two women answered the phone several times and was rude telling me that she was going to put me on hold and was not going to come back to the phone. I have been trying to contact someone to straighten this mess out but no one will help me. I got a couple of days before my home is 120 in the hole and foreclosure begins and I have kept my end of the bargain but they have not.

Fraud
We have always paid on mortgage on time with Homecomings Financial. However, recently, we incurred a lot of debt and called Homcomings to see if we could skip a couple of months in payments and have those payments tacked on to the end of the mortgage. They agreed and sent us "loan modification" documents. When we got the documents, we were assessed hundreds of dollars in late fees for being "late" on our mortgage, even though every payment was timely. I called them to complain and they promised to send us new modification documents. The promised documents never came. Instead, they began putting all of our payments into a "suspense account" without our consent. They then began calling and harassing us that our payments were late and that we were going into default, even though our account information with them confirmed that our mortgage payments were timely. They then reported us to the credit agencies as being delinquent. I have sent them several letters threatening to sue and they have not responded at all. I then called last week and told the operator I would name her personally in the suit if she didn't fix our account. She promised to have everything corrected, but I bet it still isn't fixed. We have had to go through all of this and we never even got the loan modification. They now say that we don't qualify for it. These people need to be prosecuted by the attorney general.

Poor Customer Service
At our home this morning about 9:30 a.m. we rec'd. a telephone call from Homecomings Financial, LLC, the holder of our mortgage. My husband called them back and was on the phone for nearly three hours attempting to speak to someone who was alive and coherent. After speaking to about five different people, he hung up the phone. That is when I got involved. I am not on the loan, so he always has to give me permission to speak to customer service.
First of all, you can hardly understand most of their customer "care" representatives. Their version of the English language is nothing less than a big joke and extremely bad training.
I asked if I could get the telephone number and name of the CEO/President of Homecomings and I was told flat out that they were not permitted to give out that type of information - it was company policy. I told that person that was the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard for trying to tell me "you don't know who you work for". I tried calling the home office in Waterloo, Iowa and that was a total and complete waste of my time because they reroute you back to the default department.
We were told today that we are 4 months behind on our house payments (NEWS TO US) and that if we did not come up with the entire payment by 5:00 p.m. today that they were coming in the morning to take our house. Okay, good luck.
I only spoke to one coherent individual today who made a feeble attempt to help me but unfortunately my issue did not involve this individual's department. How convenient.
Homecomings - Your customer service department is nothing less than the biggest joke on the planet. Your people don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and not being able to tell an individual who your CEO/President is just goes to show you that you are NOT in any way, shape, or form interested in who you work for. I know who I work for . . . . . . . . I know who the CEO and President and Chairman are of the Co. I work for and you know what . . . . IT'S NOT A BIG SECRET. Everyone knows who they are. Who in the entire world are you trying to kid?????
It is absolutely no wonder on God's green earth that you are going under and sinking quickly. Work and customer service is not about picking up a paycheck on Friday. It's helping people resolve issues and problems instead of giving them the run around. I think it is time we take back America and send all these foreign speaking individuals back to where they came from until they can learn to speak English the right way.
God Bless America.

Not willing to work with us
We bought our first house in November of 2006. Our first and second mortgage were bought out by Homecomings Financial. Everything was great. Until we were late once last summer. We immediately were sent a letter, and had a couple people stop by our house to drop off a letter to notify us to call right away. We paid everything, and didn't have any problems.

Then I had a baby, had unexpected surgery, was out of work for two weeks, and then lost my grandparent, and had our main vehicle break down. We became one month behind on our mortgage, and receive constant phone calls, and a couple letters a week. My husband has now received phone calls on his work cell, and I get them at work. I have tried calling and offering half the payment, and they refuse. I was told its all or nothing. They do not take partial payments. Considering we are behind and they want their money, they haven't been willing to work with us. A couple months ago, they did an electronic debit from our account that we did not authorize. They said we did, and I had our bank cancel the payment, but as the week went on they tried everyday to take the money. We had money but not that much, so we got charged $27 a day for there mistake. They refused to refund us from there mistake. We also had two months instead of one withdrawn from our account. We could not get that second payment back either.

They are rude, I can't understand half the people I talk to, and they treat me like I am stupid. I faxed off paperwork to try and get us caught up, and see if we could add a little extra in each month to catch up on our payments, but they just sent us the paperwork again. No phone call no response about receiving anything. I have miscellaneous charges on my mortgage that they can't seem to explain why they are there or what they are for, and within 4 months, my late fee's are almost $400. I keep getting charges for inspection fee's. They are completely useless. We are trying to refinance to get away from them, they are the worst company, and they have horrible customer service.

Scam and cheating
I've called Homecomings Financial several times, and I get transfered to a lot of different employee, who send me to the default department, customer service dept. etc I was trying to see if I could get help with my loan, possibly a loan modification, or re-fi or something, but they told me to contact a counselor. No help at all. They said that only way I could refi is if my house was worth 610K, it is only worth 400K at the moment, due to the market. When my loan readjust, I will be paying 10% almost. I guess I have to seek an attorney.
