Homecomings Financial Reviews

Fraud and cheating!
After becoming ill and losing my job, I tried in vain to work something out with Homecomings to make my mortgage payments. After completing about 10 of their "workout packages" With no help in sight, I was visited by a representative from their Horshom, PA office. He came to my home with a real estate agent for the purpose of informing me of what my home was worth. In the end, after offering me $2000.00 for my home which is worth $200,000.00, I went into foreclosure. My home is to be sold on Sept. 11, 2007, in Phila., PA. To add insult to injury, I receive a call from Homecomings on Aug. 15, 2007, and the agent tells me that there are many programs i may qualify for and they may lower my interest rate and extend my term so we can keep our house. Since i have 4 children, they are very happy. On Aug. 21, I receive a call from Justin Anderson, #214-874-6559, from Homecomings, and he tells me that due to my disability from multiple sclerosis, the best they can do for me is a 30 year term with a monthly payment of $1379.00.

I collect $1099.00 a month in disability and I have four children ages 3 to 11. How could I ever afford that payment! It was just a set up. Thanks for the help, Justin and Homecomings!!! This company really sucks! They will throw anyone out on the street.

Very poor service!
Homecomings Financial financed my loan for my home in 2005. I have noticed on several occasions that my statements received from Homecomings do not reflect the amount of money that I pay each month. When I call to discuss the payments made they can't tell me where or how my payments are being apply. I have ask to speak with someone in charge to have the issue investigated and they act as though they are going to transfer the call and then I'm disconnected from the call. Please help with this dispute. I'm in a situation where I can't afford to lose my home. My husband and I work very hard and we are trying to get caught up on the mortgage. However, Homecomings is taking money from the payments that we are sending in and we will never get caught up if this continues.

Beware!

Fraud by Homecomings Financial
I am in a Lawsuit against Homecomings Financial. I have received several wonderful e-mails, through the Complaint Board. I need more cases, to use in my Lawsuit. I am also arranging for formal investigation of Homecomings Financial, with the FTC, the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, and the U.S.Justice Department.

We must show, a documented pattern of abuse. I have also received encouragement from a Former Prosecutor in the Attorney General's Office, in Colorado. More people must fight back,of Homecomings Financial, and other bad Mortgage Companies will continue to abuse people, and take their homes. Homecomings is in trouble with the Judge on my case, because they cannot prove that they legally purchased my home. Please let me hear from you, if you have a story to share, or you feel like fighting back.

Fraudulent payments!
My husband and I have been released from our Bankruptcy now since Feb of 07'. I have been trying to contact these people to get a payment booklet from the so we can start paying them again. The first time I called they said that they needed a release letter from the Bankruptcy court. I told them that I had received a letter from the court that they were unable to send a letter because they did not have a correct address to send the info to. And they refused at that time to speak to me any further. I kept trying to call but no one would speak to me about it. Today I called and spoke to someone in the Bankruptcy dept by the name of Robert. He refused to help me because I am not on the account. All I want is to have them to send a payment booklet to my husband so we can start making payments. I am not wanting to get any info or change any info... Why can't they just send to stupid payment booklet. ARE THEY WAITING FOR US TO GO INTO DEFAULT SO THEY CAN TAKE OUR HOME? My husband works out of town, out of country and weird hours. It is my responsibility to make sure that things run smoothly at home while he is gone. But idiots like this company come along and make it hard just to make a payment. I understand the privacy laws. I didn't request anything, I answered all the security questions correctly and they still wouldn't help me. Beware people!

Sincerely, helplessly Mary A. Foster.

Offer acceptance problem
I have occupied this property for quite some time and was in the process of purchasing it; however, my loan did not get approved before the commissioner sale. By that date august 22,2006, i was the only person to bid on the house other than the attorney for the bank. Everyone at homecomings was willing to accept my offer until recently, which they say is due to not having a second evaluation and they want me to be evicted, just to turn around and buy it anyway. This is bull! There is no reason for me to have to be evicted for someone to do an evaluation of the home. My offer is a very fair offer considering that the house needs about $30,000.00 worth of work done to it. If anyone can help me get this taken care of i would greatly appreciate it. Like i said i have already been living there for well over a year and they are now wanting me to be evicted for no good reason.

Will not refinance home when due without 10 to 11 thousand dollars!
My husband and I purchased our first home together through homecomings financial, after paying 24 thousand in interest over a two year period it came time to refinance, when i spoke with a representative at homecomings they said that we would have to come up with 10 to 11 thousand dollars for a down payment before they would refinance. We had to suddenly try to purchase my parents home due to an medical emergency on my parents behalf so we had put our home through homecomings on a land contract with buyers so they could carry our payment, stockton mortgage said that our payment on our home would go down when we finance, but was I in for a surprise when I contacted homecomings. Now our buyers have backed out and we are faced with bankruptcy or foreclosure on that home which is totally going to destroy our credit that we have worked so hard to rebuild. We need some good sound advice.
