This place was ghastly. There are giant roaches, kids pee in the jacuzzi that is room temp, one out of the two pieces of workout equipment works on a continuous basis and the front desk people NEVER know what the hell is going on! My family and I were in town for a business conference and we were mortified by the lack of attention paid and unpaid to the rooms.
I am not one of those blabberers who just want to vent. I have legitimate facts and experience and will not fill your heads with tripe about what liars and horrible people they are. I will only tell you what really happened. Also, I will never say that I researched something when I didn't. Sitting on your butt and googling something doesn't count as actual research and because you are a consumer does not ever mean that you are an expert and know what is going on.
So, we returned to our room one night to find all of our belongings missing; we rushed downstairs and the night attendant had our things in the lost and found. All of our food we had in the fridge was gone and our bbq things were stuffed in the lost and found along with our suitcases!
We slept in one day and despite the fact that we had a "privacy please" notice on our door the maid opened the door anyways.
We put our room on a "no service" list at the front desk and came back to find our towels and coffee machine was gone, with no replacements. Not that they should have been in there in the first or second place.
I went down to the lobby to ask for directions to the nearest gas station late one evening. The kid behind the counter gave me a blank look and said "I don't know" and that was it. I pressed he a little further because I really needed to get to a store for some asprin and he persisted that he had NO idea which way on this two way street I could possibly find anything. What did he live at the hotel and never leave? He then said if I needed that badly to walk to the store I'd have to go about a mile north on San Pedro and I'd find one. I asked him if there could be one closer and he said no. I gave up and went to bed. In the morning I walked out through the lobby and into the parking lot to my car to finally get some aspirin and there to my right was a gas station! Not 20 feet away!!!
I don't know if they are trying to piss people off or if they are just really that stupid but I won't ever be staying there again and if you have the misfortune of doing so, march down to the lobby and tell them you don't want those crazy maids going near your room. That seemed to be the most effective thing, though not completely as they returned to bang on the door three days later and ask if we were staying.
One day while we were bbqing at the pool my daughter looked up and I followed her gaze...the damn maid was stopped at our door AGAIN! She opened the door walked in and walked back out! As far as I can tell this place has a serious lack of communication and management needs to pull it together. It must be family owned, because I don't see any serious chain ever allowing that kind of incident over and over again.
