Scam
Homekeys.net, what a scam artist this broker is… The company offers a flat fee MLS service for $179 but there is a catch. If you list your house you are signing your rights to sell the property yourself for 6 months. I listed 2 homes in 2 different cities with this company and for over 2 months I have not received one phone call. I know my homes are priced according to the market value; so I expected to have some interest but not one call. So on several occasions I have called the company and no one every answers the phone, only once did I receive a return call but it was 3 days later. Homekeys will not allow the home owner to have their own sign; it has to be a Homekeys sign. So, in order for any potential customer who drives by to get information on the property they have to call Homekeys. I can only imagine how many potential buyers’ I have lost due to Homekey’s poor ability to answer- return phone calls. I have requested Homekeys to remove my 2 listings but the Broker refuses. He stated he would make it inactive for the remainder of the 6 month list but if a realtor from any company drove by my house, procured a buyer for my house I would still have to pay Homekeys a 3% commission even though Homekeys had nothing to do with the sale. This company practices bad business and has poor ethics. A Licensed Realtor- Broker by law have to protect the best interest of his Client- customer and even though Homekeys service has not helped Homekeys refuses to let us sell our own home ourselves. I only paid for a flat fee MLS listing not a full service Realtor who does not provide any service. I have filled a formal complaint with the Florida Real Estate Commission and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations. I will send an update if this scam artist does the right thing.
