No replacement parts
I purchased a UT42120 electric leaf blower/vac. Within weeks of the purchase, the vacuum bag attachment ripped and eventually fell entirely away from the still fully functional blower/vac. I immediately went to the Homelite parts catalog to order a replacement, but was unable to find the model number in the catalog, and any replacement parts. E-mailing the company, I was referred to the Homelite Parts call center. Calling there I was told that the part number in their catalog - 31118142AG - seemed to be invalid and to call Homelite Technical Support. Calling technical support I was told that the part is unavailable, and that I have to return the entire, fully functioning unit for a replacement under warranty (just to get a stupid bag). That is both wasteful for the company and HIGHLY INCONVENIENT for me. Frankly, the part is poorly made anyway, so I anticipate a number of replacement bags being required in the future. Why Homelite simply can't make that bag available for a price - making them money and me happy - I have NO IDEA.

does'nt work
i bought a homelite petrol brushcutter at christmas, have exchanged it 3 times because all 3 refuse to start, have now taken back the last one and was told the 90 days has run out, so phoned the helpline who said there was a 12 months guarantee on it but the store has refused to give me back my money. this isnt the treatment i expect from b&q as i have had good dealings in the past. i have used this store for the past 20 years but am not inclined to go there again.
