I ordered two books as Christmas presents on Dec 7 2010. One book was free when you purchased another book at regular club prices. Back and forth, back and forth, customer service is sending me emails that they cannot charge my credit card. I keep explaining to them that I have the correct cc on file and that they are making a mistake. They keep giving me the run aqround. Finally, they say everything is striaghtened out and I will get my books in time for Xmas.
Well, not only do I not get my books, but I get a charge for $23.95 because I did not complete my enrollment agreement to purchase two books at regular club prices by December 12. The book that I ordered, did in fact, complete my enrollment agreement -- had they shipped it.
So, I finally call their customer service and I get someone on the phone who could not be more disinterested in helping me. I tell her what she needs to do, to ship me the two books that I ordered for $15.95 and refund the difference in the $23.95 price that they charged me. She talks to her manager and gets back on the line with me, "OK. We will ship your books and credit the difference to your credit card."
I just now recieved a shipment confirmation that the ONE book is being sent.
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. THEY GIVE YOU THE RUNAROUND, BIG TIME!
I can only imagine what kind of run arouns I'll receive from them in the future, when I again attempt to get my free book and the credit to my cc.
THIS IS A MAJOR SCAM. BUYER BEWARE!!!
