Honda Accord Reviews

AC broke - Warrany doesnt cover
We bought a car from Honda the last November during winter. Last week, when we turned on the AC and it didn't work. So we took the car to the Honda service and they informed us that the warranty doesn't cover it. They said, the car was hit by a outside small object(stone) and made a hole and that is how the AC broke.
My parents two cars (Toyota Camry) are also driven on the same road, and nothing has happened to their vehicles. - Their cars are more than 2years old as well. Why did that happened only to my car (that too a new car, being less than 6 months old) Couldn't that be a manufacturing defect? Even if it was hit by a small stone, how can it be create a hole in the car - I mean what kind of material is the Honda accord made of ? No one has ever heard of this kind of problem either.
The service said insurance will pay it and since this is not a accident case, insurance refuse to pay it. The cost of the repair is $940. This is a mechanical error! They are accusing it was our fault that the "small object" hit the car. How can they prove the small hall was caused by a small object, couldn't it be a manufacturing defect?

Also when we went to buy the car, we were first planning to buy a old car that was drove 2000 miles for $18, 000. Suddenly the manager came in and said we will give you a brand new car for additional $1500 - making it $19, 500 and when my refused, they made a deal for $19, 000. That night, they drove the car from Virginia (We live in MD) and gave us at 10.00 pm. Was that a planned cheating?

We called the case manager and he even refused to reveal is his last number of contact higher authorities? Help us.

Dear Sir,
I am writing to you to complain about my Honda accord 2009 car and more than two problems I've faced with the car, the service center and the body shop, (Alrashedya branch) – Dubai – U.A.E.
I am putting this issue up on Web after 15 months of unsuccessful attempt to make Honda UAE to listen to me and to fix the problem I am facing. I bought a Honda Accord in month of November 2008 from Honda UAE. I noticed that there is a squeezing sound coming from the Tires
By the way I’ve Paid more than 27500.00 $ for this car
After less than two month using the car I start hearing a squeeze coming from the brake and when I send the car for the 5000 Km service I complain about that sound and the service advisor says that he will check that and he didn't do anything, and he had done the service only and I toke the car cause it is my only car and I don't have alternative car to use and I was suffering from the rented car so I said maybe I will bring the car back later.
After another couple of months I send the car again to the service of 10000 km and I asked to check the brake sound and I've get a promise that they will do it, when I've received the car back they told me that the brakes beads was changed through the service and the problem is solved.
After two days the problem appears again. And the sound is becoming louder.
But this time I returned the car back to them and complained about the sound and they send a technician for the check and to give a feedback and they called me after that saying that there is some parts need to be changed and they will change it on my cost??! When I asked why on my cost this is a new car and the problem is there since a purchased the car they refuses and I accept to change the parts on my cost, and they charged me for that around 200 $, and they said they replaced something inside the wheels or something like this, and the problem is solved .
After no more than two weeks again the problem appears, and squeezing sound is there, the same story happened again when I send the car to the 15000 km, 20000 and the 25000 km services, I get too many promises and no action is taken,
And now I am using the car with this annoying sound and I don’t know where I will reach
Sometimes I am afraid when I use the brake the car will not stop or I will lose control or any dangerous action may happen,
This was my first problem
My second problem happened when Unfortunately I made an accident like a month ago and I send the car for the body shop, the accident was in the right front corner of the car and I make it clear to the advisor that after the accident the steering wheel was not straight and the balance of the car is not correct, and he promise that for sure that problem will be solved when they fix the car
And I received the car and the body was fixed but the steering problem still there and the steering vibrates and shakes when I drive over 100 km/hour speed, the car is sliding and moving to the left when I release the steering wheel.
Really I don’t know why I started to hate my car and was not expecting this kind of problems with a good car like Honda and I was not expected that kind of customer service from Honda
When I renew my insurance I’ve insisted and pay more money to get the service only inside the agency. But really I feel like it was a big mistake
What I require??
I need the problems to be solved, not more than that,
I’ve contacted you and I wish that I can find a solution with you
I will be waiting for your reply

Thanks
Ahmed Salim

Producets and Service
The following is a complaint I've submitted to numerous entities including all interested Honda parties, the Better Business Bureau, Consumers Affairs and any organization that investigates existing lemon laws in the State of California.

On Saturday, September 5, 2009 I took my Honda Accord for a routine 12000 mile checkup. My service advisor was Oscar Scagliotti. After dropping off my Honda at approximately 10am I was called by him later in the afternoon to advise me that my left and right rear brakes were measuring 2mm. His professional recommendation was that they needed to be changed and it would cost me $169 to perform the brake replacement.

I advised Oscar I had purchased the Accord brand new in August 2008. I also reminded him it barely had $12000 miles on it. He argued with me that this was normal wear and tear and that it was reasonable to suggest the brakes would wear down so soon after purchase. I pleaded with him that this is not my understanding of Honda's long lasting reputation for quality products and service. I asked him if it was reasonable then to assume I would need to change my brakes every 12 months. He declined to directly answer my question but he didn't deny the logic in my question.

I told Oscar to not perform the brake job if it meant I would have to pay for it. I fully realize that normal 'wear and tear' is not covered by my lease contract. However, I don't feel its normal for your brakes to need replacement after only 1 year. I also want to emphasize I drive the car normally and as required never using any more brake than needed. I asked him to register my complaint with his superiors and told him I would be filing a complaint if the brake job was not performed without charge. I never heard back from Oscar and the brake job was not performed.

To conclude, I am fully registering my complaint with all parties listed at the top. My family has owned Honda's since the 1970's. We've owned Accords that have never necessitated a brake job so soon or any other major service. With this experience, I fully expect my family never to purchase any Honda products again or any Fladeboe product. In addition, I will tell all family and friends about my negative experience. I will take my dissatisfaction as far as I need to including local and national media, internet blogs and any other reasonable means to let other potential Honda consumers realize the low level of product and service.

This is not a threat just a consumers reaction to your product. I am asking for Honda to replace my brake and realize it is not unreasonable for me to expect products they sell to last for a long, reasonable period of time.

I welcome your feedback and comments. This best done by return email as I'm extremely busy during the weekdays to talk.
By the way, I haven't even mentioned the horrible experience I had in buying this automobile. I had a conversation with the General Manager on the horrible experience back then and hopefully that is documented. Later, the alarm had issues and you had to correct that. I should have filed a formal complaint then but have decided you guys have disappointed enough.

Sincerely,

Peter Lombardi

Honda Accord Cruise Control
I was provided advice from John G, his profile is on the following link, http://www.justanswer.com/profile.aspx?PF=13120563&FID=27. There was a problem with my cruise control where sometimes it would engage and on other occasions it would not, so thus I spoke to John G as I felt he was best qualified for my question.

He answered my question and advised me to purchase two parts which I did for £150 and another £60 on labour. These parts the break light switch and the steering wheel switch were installed but to no avail as it continued to sometimes engage the cruise control and on other times it did not. I have asked for a full refund as his opinion was worthless. You can contact me on [email protected], if need be.

Do not get Honda accord serviced by MILFORD Honda service center
Hi,
Do not take your car to Honda Milford CT, Service center for repair, I had a extremely bad experience. In May2008 My car starting vibrating and was not able to take a pickup, these guys took $92 as diagnosis and said the Fuel injectors needs to be replaced and charged me total of $734. after 4 months the same problem started, these guys took $300 for diagnosis and thereafter said the four injectors are again bad (which they can replace) but the main problem is Oil Tank is rusted and needs tobe replaced. They gave me estimate of almost $2700 ($1200 for parts and $1500 as labor) and said if I will get Fuel tank replaced by them then only they will replace Fuel injectors (which were in 12 months warranty)
I told them that this fuel tank was not ok in May 2008 then at that time they should have diagnosed this issue, I would have donated the car at that time (may be) or got it corrected by some other repair shot.
Now they are refusing to change that warranty fuel injector and are saying that this will be done only If I am ready to spent $2700 more on this car.
Their manager Earl Mistri sounds to be just another person (No professionalism),

Please do not repair your old honda car from MILFORD CT, Honda dealer otherwise you may also experience same issues

I also wanted to know if there is any way I can logde a customer complaint against these peopole

Thanks,
Manish

Serious paint problem
My 1998 Accord paint is terrible and has been this way for a few years. Other owners have complained about this but no one at Honda has given us any help or ideas. This car should be recalled for this serious paint problem.
