Scam
We changed banks, and just want to change account numbers and withdrawls to keep up with on time payments We started with the dealership that sold us the car, We tried 4 other phone numbers. To no avail not one kind educated person to help us.

It seems no one is able to help us with this simple change. We even received a questionnaire from Honda's financial sevices asking us about our contact with AHFC there was no return envelope included and the web address did not work. This is very frustating and it really ***

Car Lease
I just went through an absolute nightmare 3 weeks ago with the unexpected death of my father. He had a Honda Accord on lease for another year and i contacted Honda Financial Services about what needed to be done with his car. The person i dealt with over the next week was Cameron at Honda Financial. He was very sympathetic and extremely helpful in expediting this situation. I was told by Cameron, since my father's car was only in his name that we simply have to turn the car into a dealership and they would close out his account. He explained that with the closing of the account that everything would be zero'd out. We dropped the car off at the dealership in town and signed a couple papers verifying that it was turned over to Honda. Today, I received a certified letter notification for my father, in his name???? The letter stated that his account was in "default" and that all charges after the sale of the vehicle will be sent to him. I immediately contacted the number listed for Honda Financial and talked to a Seth, a customer service representative. Seth is the epitome of bad customer service reps. He hung up on me the first time because he had no idea how to handle the situation. I called back immediately and somehow got him again. I asked him why he hung up on me, his response was, "i thought you hung up on me?" I was blown away and asked for his supervisor, to my surprise again, he hung up. I called back and unfortunately don't remember the person i got the third time, but it was a man again. This time he had nothing but attitude towards me and refused to send me to any supervisor or manager. He then explained that he doesn't see where i am authorized under my deceased father's account. I am seeing red at this moment. Now, i won't lie, i did lose my cool at this point and ended up hanging up on this representative. I am just appalled of the lack of customer service and complete lack of sincerity to the situation. I have tried to locate a corporate number to no avail. I am sick to my stomach over this situation.
Thanks Honda Financial you have made this very tough time in my life a treat!!!

Rip off
I had an accident that totalled out my car on Dec 13, I had full coverage and GAP. Honda recieved the insurance payment in the beginging of Jan, second week of January they began the barage of calls asking for January's payment. I asked if there was any reason that GAP would not be paid by the end of Jan. They said no, but to make the payment anyway and I would get refunded when GAP did pay. It's Febuary and GAP still has not paid and I have received a letter saying my loan is in default. Yes, I did receive the 4-6 calls a day while I was sleeping and at work. Also now credit that I worked so hard on is screwed up because of their greed. In hindsite it seems a conflict of interest to have the people responsible for my loan also in charge of paying a claim.

Repossed vehicle, stating 1 month behind
I purchased a 2009 Honda Accord in 2/2009, after leasing one in 2007. I accumalated mileage on the lease vehicle so the remainding amount that was owed was transfered to the 2009 vehicle and also I had to put a downpayment of $1500, in order to get the vehicle. I recently was divorced and was working 2 jobs, trying to make sure that I was able to make the payments had they exorted from me( $659.82)Thou my payment sometime were late, they were made. In oct of 2009 I lost my job, so I was not able to make the payments. Honda would contact me and my parents regarding the account, but would not work with us to come to reasonable agreement. 2 months later I recieved a call stating they would be repossing the vehicle. I quickly advised my parents who immediately paid the pass due balance inorder for me to Keep the car. Mind you the vehicle is in my mothers name and was a gift to help me move forward with my new life being single. After the car was paid up to date, in Jan 2010, my parents have continuosly have made my car payments. Today, I awoke to find that Honda had repossed my car stating that the account was in default.

I Spoke to Sam 1/31/2011@ 9am he was the rudest person I have ever encountered, stating that the car went into default in 3/2009 1 month after I just gave Honda $1500. So I quickly dismiss him, cause that made no sense, and called and spoke to Kristine, who said the account went deliquent in sept and they only recieved $ 582.22. I immediately called my father and his records indicated that the amount paid was the amount was agreed upon. Called back and spoke to Daphane, who was quite helpful, but when I asked her to fax info to parents, will lets say we are still waiting. I called back and left messages giving her the correct fax number and contact number nothing. I called back again, and spoke with Kristine, who advised me that there were 2 amounts on the check and they were authorized to extract the written amount and not the numerical amount on the check, but yet my father contact his financial institutiona dn they have stated the numerical amont was taking out. So where was the delinquency? She said the balance in aug-sept was $932.00 I asked why, she said from fee for the car..What fees. I still don't know. Also in order for me to get my vehicle I would to pay $23, 111.44 to get my car, plus repossesion fees, storage fees, and $50. to get anything I had in the car.I don't understand this, and how can a comapny exist with so many rude and uncooperative employees. Honda doesnt want to work with you they just want thier money. One rep stated that just cause the economy s bad, it's still my responsiblity to make my payments, and it's mine and my parents fault this happened. I have no car, I can't go look for employment cause I have no car, and where I live is to far out for city transortation to take me from one city to another to find work. Honda is the worst company I have ever dealt with. My father said this is " Predatory lending practices, where a company will finance you knowing that you at one point fall short of your commitement just so they can resale the car to some poor indiviual like me! I hope Honda rots for it practices!!!

Never use it
Honda Financial is the worst company! I have made payments on my vehicle and they still repossessed. When I called the next morning, I was given the run around. Finally, after a week they told me that they will give me my car back, because they were in error in repossessing. Wow...what geniues. Not only that, but the repo man starting taunting me and calling me names. I had to call the police. I want to pay this car off and Never do business with those idiots again. Stay away if you can! Finance through your bank if you can.

Bad service
I have had problems with Honda Finance in the past year. Granted I have been late and they did grant me an extension, but I was harrased the whole time. The customer service(a/k/a collections agents)sent me threatening letters, they called me constantly and threatened to take my car, and smacked me with a bunch of late fees. I am more than willing to pay the late fees, but the abbrasive, nasty, and condescending way Honda Finance talks to there customer's needs to change. I can't wait to pay this loan off, and I will never finance through honda again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have called corporate before but the harrassing never stops.

Extreme scare tactics, abusive collection procedures
I own a 2006 Honda which only has 11 months remaining on the contract. I have always made my payments in a timely manner. I have recently fallen onto hard times as many other Americans trying to survive in this economy and my payment is late. I was EXTREMELY verbally abused, hung up on TWICE, and threatened today by not one but TWO ruthless collection agents in this company. I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor despite numerous attempts. I FINALLY was transferred to a team lead who rasied her voice and told me "I am just laying the ground rules for you, you WILL NOT question me and I am doing the talking" I am so furious and I do not know what to do! She would not give me an address or name to contact the head of the department. They told me they were coming to get my car THIS WEEKEND! They told me there are no repossession laws in Georgia. My car payment is currently 47 days late. I was trying to explain my circumstances and make arrangements with them and this is how I am treated??!!! Can anyone help me? Thank you, Stephanie Posey

Harrasment
These people are a pain. I have NEVER taken a loan on ANY of my cars (both of my Hondas were paid for in cash the day I bought them back in 1995). 15 years later, they started calling me? They obviously got a wrong number. I've asked them to remove my number, even spoke with supervisors (or team leaders as they call them). Nine months later, they are still calling me almost every day. For crying out loud, how difficult is it to fix your wrong data and stop harrassing people who don't have anything to do with you?

Rip off palace
Do not take your vehicle to Bowie Honda for repair unless you have a warranty. The service department, while friendly and professional, will smile in your face and rip you off concurrently.

My "check engine" light was on and I took 2006 Honda Element to determine the problem. In the end, I ended up paying about $500 ($497.17) for parts and service that should have been signifcantly less.

Charge included $99.95 for a 'diagnosis' and $25.10 for 'shop supplies for repair order'(aka the Bowie Honda big screw). Shall I mention the exorbitant mark-up for labor? They were in such a rush to stick it to me that they forgot to provide 'courtesy wash' even though invoice said they did. Can you say: "never again!?" I can. Ken Dixon Honda in Charles County is more reputable.
