Misleading advertisement!
I paid 89.95 for what i thought was a real credit card to make purchases anywhere, not a certain store on their website. I was misled with false advertising.

Rip off!
As a former employee of Horizon Gold I must warn all people who are thinking of getting this card... DO NOT GET THIS CARD... it is a rip off. If you have this card call and cancel it immediately. The company is very misleading. If when you call to cancel and they tell you that there is a 20.00 cancellation fee, threaten a chargeback and you will get 100% of your initial fee back. You will be transferred to a so-called supervisor but don't be fooled, the person you are transferred to is not a supervisor, just a person who is there to try to make thcard sound better than it is. Don't let them convince you that this card will build your credit because chances are it won't even be reported to the credit bureau. If you are transferred to a supervisor You will probably be speaking to "Lori". Don't let her tell you what you want, demand your money back. If she gives you a hard time ask to speak with Kim (gen manager) or better yr=et ask for Rich (vice president). Don't let anyone tell you that they aren't in the office that day because they are there everyday. If they say you have had the card over 30 days and you aren't due a refund, go to the Better Business Bureau and your Attorney General. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

Getting your money back
I received my card on Oct. 20, 2007, called their customer service 1-800-251-6144 on the following Monday. Representative gave me a hard time about getting refund back ($79.95). They give you the run around about how good they can help you with your credit and all the services they provide which is crap. After getting frustrated, what part of I DON'T WANT YOUR SERVICES, I JUST WANT MY REFUND. After hanging up on them, they called me right back and left a message that they cancel my card. Three days later they refunded me back $59.95 into my account. Still lost $20.00 and for what, a bad decision.

Card was not what i thought it was
The information was a little vague when i filled out the application for a horizon gold card, and i did not realize they wanted to take out $79.95 out of my debit visa card account. When they tried it came up insufficient funds. I called them the next day and told them what happened and said do not try to take the money out again, because i read about them on this web site and changed my mind. They assured me they would not try to take it out again. Well, they did. I called them back and told them i wanted my money back, that they promised they would not try again. I did not know they try for 21 days in a row before stopping. The guy turned me over to a guy named michael. He offered me first to refund $50.00 and try the card but i said i do not want the card. He told me the money would be back in my account in 24 hours. I said that is also one of the complaints, that no one ever gets it all back. Michael was very nice and in 24 hours my money was back in my account. I told him if they return all of it i would get on this web site and tell everyone about receiving all of my money.

Poor service!
The web site really stinks and the products are junk. I should have been way more careful before trying this company to help me re-establish my credit. These people that are in control of these kind of companies are scum. I will go elsewhere to re-establish my credit before i go broke on buying over priced junk from these guys. But what is bad is it took $50 out of my account before i can drop this mess i got myself in... SO BEWARE of scams/ ran by scum.

Fraud and cheating!
I was mislead into thinking this was a real credit card. I charged the $79.95 fee to a real credit card that I have. I did this today about 1 hour ago. I tried to call my real credit card company and they said I would have to get this company Horizon Card Services. They are only open M-F (9-5pm EST) This is Saturday.
Any advice you can give would be appreciated.

They totally misrepresented themselves. I can't find a thing that I would ever order on their site. They are charging me every month even I don't go to their site anymore. I can't get them to cancel or refund my money.

Online scam
I applied for what i thought was a visa/mastercard - did not receive information for a matter of weeks and in the meantime $79.95 was deducted from my account - i have not made any purchases or used the website at all and expect a complete refund to my account.
