jWe received, in mid Jan. 2009, after several calls, our $500. food redemption certicate from Beck's Furniture in Rancho Cordova, CA. This program is titled "claim your visa cards " I decided to investigate the company before filling out the ppw for enrollment and after reading the article in the Sacramento Bee, titled, Retail Promotions "Beck's deals seeing delays, " see 12/22/09, section B1. I also looked the company, "claimyourvisacards" on BBB.org since the promotional folder indicated an "A" rating. The BBB stated that My Free Travel, div. of Hort Financial Services membership had been suspended as of 10/20/09. The current rating on the BBB site indicates BBB Accrediation was revoked on 12/30/09, further reading indicates my free travel has informed the BBB that as of 12/17/09 it has ceased operations. However "myfreevisacards" continues to have a website and invite participation though it is a division of Hort Financial services. It also appears that a regional office was located in Sacramento Ca for My Free Travel, among other cities, see the BBB website, typing in the info above. Complaints against this company should contact the Il Attorney General's office, see the BBB website for contact info. At this point would like to know anyone actually filing a small claims action against the merchant that offered the coupon booklet as an incentive to buy, specificially their cause of action, thanks.
