Received Offer by Mail on 11-10-10
WARNING! This company is still at it ...
I wanted to make sure to THANK everyone who posted their complaints on this site and others against this company! I had received their offer today on Nov. 10, 2010 through the postal mail. I thoroughly read their letter and it really sounded so good; but due to being burnt in the past and known from experience, there is a lot of scams out there. I just don't know how the scammers can face themselves in the mirror every morning; but apparently they have no conscience whatsoever to speak of. Their day of reckoning is coming for their actions against others to rip them off ... and as far as I'm concerned, that day is not soon enough in my opinion.
Again, thank you for your postings for I couldn't afford to send the $79.90, especially for nothing. By the way, on their enrollment application their enroll is $47 one time sign up + $29.95 sample cost + $2.95 s/h = $79.90. You are all right in that there is no phone number or any mention of the cost for supplies/material.
This is the address I received their offer:
Jay Willis, 701 Seneca Street - Unit 121, Buffalo, NY 14210

Home Job Scam
The company misrepresented the home projects to be made and the jewellery kit that comes is undervalued for the $76.00 the customer has to send in for the start up kit.
The picture of the jewellery looks like you will be making 30 single wire bracelets. They promise you can make money if you send in 30 bracelets a week. Instead, the kit includes a very time consuming beaded bracelet using very thin beading thread, completely different from the advertisement. The kit is said to have supplies to make 30 bracelets, instead you get enough to make 5 bracelets with an order form to order more supplies.
The beads are poor quality and are totally misrepresented from their advertisement picture. You are not allowed to purchase or substitute other suppliers beads. You must purchase their products.
There is no refund and no contact phone number for customers to get satisfaction. WATCH OUT for this company!! DON"T GET TAKEN LIKE I DID!!

scam
I wish I had read up on the complaints first before I gave them my credit card. I only wish I had a phone number to get a hold of them to try and cancel the order before it is too late. They take your $, give crappy supplies and not enough supplies so you have to send an additional $61 for another kit just to get started. I fell victim to them as I am desperate for some income while doing courses, and they love desperate people. Now I'm a little more broke but alot smarter about scams. Dam people, making us look so freakin stupid for falling for this crap.

Home Job Scam
The website boasts you can make $570 every week at home making bracelets. Well I have recieved the package today and the beads are black and white and plain and so small...it lied when it said "your package will arrive with easy-to-understand instructions that even a child could follow". The diagram provided is not even that clear.
I do not believe you can get paid good money for making 30 of their bracelets. I personally would not pay good money to buy theirs when there are so many beautiful ones out there with better looking colorful beads!!!
Surprise, surprise!!! Now I am just finding out I have to pay for my own materials ...
1 box of material is $61 no discount
2 Boxes $115.90 5% discount
3 Boxes $164.70 10% discount
5 Boxes $259.25 15% discount
Now I would have liked to know BEFORE signing up that I would be required to buy my own materials. The package provided enough for 15 bracelets. Since I paid $79.90 that should have paid for a full 30 bracelets not just the 15
Again on the website is says and I quote "Is this too good to be true?
Are you wondering if there is a catch?
Well there is! In fact there are 2 catches that we would like to be honest and up front about..."
Actually the correct answer should have been there are 3 not 2 catches...you have to pay your own materials.
If you are looking to make good money from home Host Jewellery is NOT the way to go.
Looks like I'm out $79.90 as of course there are no refunds and they, however, expect me to honor the "enrollment agreement".
As far as I'm concerned, I have been "had" and do not plan on honoring them.

not entirely legit
I made an order before reading the scam reports. I called my credit card company & asked them to decline the purchase, but it had already gone through (the same day I made the order). I wrote Host a letter asking for a refund as I find it hard to work with the very small beads. Nothing. A week later I get the package with the impossible instructions & small plastic beads, & ridiculous beading needle. I worked all day and couldn't get through the first 5 steps. In the past I worked for an upscale jewellery making business...I could work at home. I wasn't made to purchase my materials & got paid for my work right away. The jewellery was sold in upscale boutiques & stores such as Holt Renfrew...it was not crap. The instructions were clear and concise...I used tools to cut chain & attach findings to beads, etc. we worked with heavy wire, etc. so I am not a novice to making jewellery. The enclosed letter said no refunds under any circumstances, plus if you are actually able to make the bracelet you have to pay for your own materials so you could make 30 more. I feel they are only a bead selling business & actually do not pay for your work...better off buying beads in a good bead store, make bracelets, necklaces & sell them on E-Bay or Etnie. It would be hard to press charges as they do send you the beads, but it is almost set up for you to fail. I was really, really hoping this would work as my financial situation is desperate...now my mental state is too...DON'T SEND THESE PEOPLE $ I feel like driving to Thunder Bay but a 24 hour drive and the $79.90 I already sent them isn't worth the bother...or is it?...Jackie
