Misrepresentations
I applied for their program on making bracelets, and sent them $79.90 for the supplies to get started. After 12 days of waiting I got suspicious and googled their name and came across this website. Then 2 days after that I received a package from them, I had expected materials to make 30 bracelets and got materials to make 5 instead. And on top of that you're supposed to send $61 for materials to make the 30 that you send in for the $275 cheque. That was not the deal alluded to on their website, they said nothing about purchasing your own supplies. And in their little booklet they state that you have to buy beads from them and that bracelets made from beads that you buy somewhere else will be refused. They seem to be herding you towards buying 5 boxes of beads in one shot for a 15% discount ($259.25). Another thing troubling about them is that they show a photo at the top of their website of several beaded bracelets that are totally different from the ones they want you to make, and which would be way simpler to make. Their bracelet involves threading tiny beads into clusters, and their instructions are almost incomprehensible. Instructions that would warrant a book, are put into only 4 small pages with a crude diagram to work from. I strongly suspect that this is a scam and that you are set up to fail. They take your $80, and send you a few dollars worth of supplies, knowing full well that you can't get anywhere with it, and they pocket the balance and maybe dupe you into buying more beads from them. On a positive note, websites such as this will definitely curtail people like this in the future. Also conmen get their come-uppance eventually in some kind of way, you get what you give, for better or worse.
