I signed up for this trial membership that said for $1.95 i would be able to acess this website and learn how to post links for Google, and earn money to do so. As soon as i paid the money and went to the website i realized that it was not what they said it was. I sent an e-mail to cancell right away and tried to call the 1-800-235-1364 phone number that was on the website. I could not get through to anyone. This was on 5/24/09. Yesterday on 8/19/09 i went to use my debit card at the store and it was declined. When i called customer service i found out that i was being billed by this company. I got a phone number to call, 1-866-716-1124. When i called an automated system said to hold on the line, and someone would be with me. A man then answered and asked for my zip code and last name. He found me in his system and told me that they never recieved my cancellation e-mail, that i obviously didn't read the terms and conditions correctly and i should have called and canceled. I told him that i did cancel and that they had no right to bill me, granted it was only $13.42, but it was taken without my knowledge or consent. He told me i would not get my money back. I asked to speak to his supervisor, who was completely rude and basically said that i never cancelled, and that i will not get a refund and they have been trying to bill me over $80/mo, but my account declines their transactions. She also hung up on my when i pushed the issue of a refund. They said that as of today my membership is cancelled, but how do i make sure that they don't still take money out?

I fell into their trap but I am fighting back. I thought all I was buying was a $2.00 disc of information about how to post links on Google. Instead I got a world of trouble including one financial charge that I was told was "non-refundable." After considerable effort I got a lot of the other charges taken care of, but I had to shred my credit card. This business, without my permission and certainly without making it clear to me what they were up to, spread my credit information all over the internet like peanut butter on bread. If I had done that, I would expect to be in jail right now.

These people advertise a $1.95 EBAY/GOOGLE report that turns out to be a hook to get your account information. They put their advertisements on reputable sites to give legitimacy to their product. 7 days after the $.195 charge they withdraw $81.32 from your account.
My account was charged as INTERNET PROFIT GEN but the website for the membership site (Hot Business Market Pro) you are unkowingly joining is http://hotbusinessmarket.com.
I called the customer service number which I would not have had if I had not printed out the receipt page for the $1.95 EBAY report purchase. I received no confirmation emails or any other information that tells who these people are.
The rep I talked to told me it was a nonrefundable charge because I did not cancel in my 7 day trial period. When I told him I did not see that on the offer page he offered to take me to the site to show me where it was. My feeling is they have a second site to take you to once you complain about the charge. They don't care if you call to get your money back. They have no intention of returning it. This is a scam to get at least the 1.95 and then the 81.32 in hopes you will like their site well enough to continue the membership.
I entered the site via the login ID and password on my receipt print out and it is a very professional and informative site, but who wants to do business with people who use such underhanded tactics?
